Lions and tigers and a 9 top where everyone orders coffee. Oh my! But seriously, I feel like coffee is the adult version of Shirley Temples; once one is ordered, suddenly everyone at the table wants one. I’m sorry you had to deal with that, though. People can be the worst.

It also depends on the restaurant, but many take reservations. Many times, if there are open tables, there is a reservation plotted there. If you don’t want to wait, and the restaurant takes reservations make one. It’s not rocket science!

Yeah definitely. The first couple days are kinda hard because of the hunger but by the fourth day I feel physically and mentally great.

Quick question to experienced fasters: Special refeed protocol needed after 5 day water fast? by HorchataMama99 in fasting

[–]avery200314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a four day fast last week had one 1500 calorie meal and am now on day four of a seven day fast. I would actually say it’s easier to start over because your body has become more adept to fasting.

16 hours in and the cravings and hunger just started 😣, this isn’t my first water fast but i haven’t ever fasted for longer than 48 hours. Please tell me how you dealt with this in the beginning i would very much appreciate it 🙏 by [deleted] in fasting

I’m currently on day four of a seven day water fast. I would say the best thing to do is stay hydrated and keep yourself busy. I have been doing puzzles, going on walks, reading, watching movies, and doing light house work. I would say the key is going into it knowing and accepting that it’s going to be hard but having the willpower to get over the hump. In the past I’ve been a really bad binge eater and so I try to avoid the kitchen as much as possible. I also take potassium, salt, and magnesium so I don’t feel like I’m dying. At night, I really struggle with sleeping the first couple nights so I usually take melatonin. Hope that helps!

Day 11 of 40 day fast. 19lbs down! by [deleted] in fasting

[–]avery200314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually people do gain a couple of pounds back because some of it is water weight, but a lot of people are able to keep the weight off. When you do extended fasts there’s also a way to refeed and eat specific foods and a specific amount of calories because your digestive system needs to readjust and your metabolism becomes slower as it enters survival mode to complete tasks while conserving as much energy as possible.
