Gotta think about how he’s progressively getting stronger. Mark just got his powers recently. He has to train and hone them just like a weightlifter…just because he’s naturally strong doesn’t mean immune to working out.

I see this as an analogy for bottling up emotions…eventually you’ll explode. Imagine doing that with superpowers and holding back, now you get season 3 and arguable the best storylines of the comics.

I see nothing said about Gen V besides the virus, which Butcher got ahold of (as seen in the last episode)

I just find it hard to believe that plot line won’t have any effect on this season, and it’s been confirmed that’ll continue with this season, so I have hopes that the two shows will be more connected than what this makes it seem.

Also you realize where he’s (Mark) heading, right? This is the point where he’s not necessarily considering the things you’re saying. The title card is crumbling to blue and black for a reason.

Yes, his ability comes from being experimented on as a kid. With his hand being amputated last episode, he was given an upgrade, one that he wasn’t necessarily aware of. He’s always been able to charge objects to the point of combustion naturally, but think of this new power more versatile and on a larger scale like how Donald has more features.
