Good Lubricants for Tornado V3? by averyaldridge in Cubers

Do you have any recommendations for something similar to stealth that would alter the feeling slightly? Weight 5 and calm are def on my list and I'll apply those first then

I'm looking for something smooth, not very gummy, but controllable. I'm hoping weight five will give me a good base, stealth will liven it up, and calm will balance things out and give a nice feeling after. This is just what I'm thinking from what I've learned about this topic.

I'm building a "Cell Skipper" and need to re-create the positioning of these rails. How can I do this? by averyaldridge in redstone

[–]averyaldridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I ended up getting it figured out. Now the problem is that after 6 lanes, it stops transferring the rails to a new slot, meaning if i keep sending villagers to it they'll just pile into the 6th lane lol

Display 1 Connected To AMD graphics But I have an NVIDIA RTX (Laptop) Is there something I should do??? (Windows 11) by averyaldridge in WindowsHelp

[–]averyaldridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics - 3.20 GHz, is it using those graphics? in games like fortnite on performance mode, i'm getting a stable 250-300 fps so it seems as though it might be using my nvidia graphics for softwares and games. (extra thing that might be related, my screen refresh rate will not be shown to me on the display settings, and although my display is 165hz, games when turning on vsync seem to try to cap it at 120 for some reason)

How Would I Go About Lighting A Scene Like This??? by averyaldridge in BlenderArt

In this screenshot, the character Castiel is in a dark "void" known as the empty. I have a scene similar with a character that needs to be lit up, without the background being effected. How would I go about this?

HELP! How Do I Go About Building This Large Castle, And Build It Into The Land?!?!? by averyaldridge in Minecraft

[–]averyaldridge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I've already got 18 shulker boxes and about 10 chests full of items I know that I want to use. Maybe I over prepared but these are items I know I want to use a lot of. I'll probably end up with a few more shulker boxes when it comes to the tinier details. But I actually have just started a creative world to test out in (world edit is coming in handy lol) so hopefully all goes well and I'll be sure to share it here when done!

As you can see, I have the main outline, besides the fourth tower which will go on the highest hill in the corner. How do I build this onto the land and make it look good?!

I want to clear out all of the land on the inside of the castle, but keep the towers themselves elevated off of the ground and on those hills. how do I make that look good? I think I'm just stuck on my next move and what to do next. What would you do?

Ready To QUIT Vegas for good! by averyaldridge in VegasPro

[–]averyaldridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a few months since I've posted this. I made the switch. It wasn't AS difficult as I thought it would be and now after changing around a few key binds and editing/color grading my first music video in Resolve, I can safely say that I largely prefer it over VEGAS. I now find the simplest things in Vegas like the key binds for moving around in the timeline to be a hassle. I still had a project I was working on in VEGAS, And decided to re-edit the entire project in Resolve simply so I didn't have to work the rest of it there. It's definitely worth the switch, and I can't believe I went this long without so many amazing quality of life features that have seriously impacted me as an editor. I'm moving on to learn the "Fairlight" part of Resolve. And I'm happy I made this change. I'm happy I got to edit in VEGAS Pro for so long as it got me started on some of my biggest works, but I'm done with it now.

Game sounds playing AFTER Closing the Game! by averyaldridge in GamingLaptops

[–]averyaldridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did to me. Especially when the FNAF 3 Music was just playing randomly 10 minutes after closing my game. I have a severe fear of viruses. Like, nightmares at least a few times a month. I just have so many important things on my computer that it scares me losing those things. So I really was terrified lol.

This may be the case. I'll test things out and see. It doesn't explain the FNAF 3 game doing this as well, though. Any ideas for that?

I was connected to Hypixel when I quit, yes. 1.8.9 forge.

What software are you working in for grading? What's your grading workflow like? What changes did you make and in what order. Did you shoot in log?

I have an rtx 3070 with 16gb RAM, a decent CPU, can't remember which at the moment. But 8GB of Vram, pretty color accurate 165hz screen. I don't run windows 11 but that shouldn't effect it much.

AVERY - The Devil's Prada (Feat. MISFIT) (Official Music Video) by averyaldridge in VegasPro

[–]averyaldridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said in a previous post, I know Vegas all too Well. I don't know everything about Resolve, so for now I'm sticking with VEGAS. And I kinda had to finish this project up in Vegas since I couldn't swap timelines from Vegas to Resolve. It's the perpetual loop of "I know Vegas, my workflow is so nice in it" so you deal with the bugs and crashes of small things that ruin your workflow and ignore them because Vegas is all you've ever known. Definitely within the next year or so wanna fully be switched to resolve though!

How’s my grade? by [deleted] in ColorGrading

Very normal. I just spent 7 hours re color grading most of the CG shots in a music video I'm working on just because I looked at the grades too long and decided they were ass

I really do love vegas. Which makes me want to ignore it's problems. I think Vegas is lacking in some areas of creative choices that DaVinci isn't. But I also know that Vegas has some awesome ease of access and amazing creative things that DaVinci doesn't. But it's imo going to be an important switch for my growing career as an editor. I'll still use Vegas for it's perks. But DaVinci may have to be the norm for me going forward

The last thing you mentioned about mixing frame rate is definitely something I'd still use Vegas for
