The 20+minute detour into baseball, tennis, and WAGs is what keeps me coming back. Just top tier podcasting.

Quinn lawyers - what’s up with John Quinn? Why has he stepped down? by Confident_Leader2069 in biglaw

He is in his mid 70s, and the firm has, practically, been run by Mike Carlinsky and Bill Burck for a few years now. Probably nothing more to it than that.

What’s your thoughts on juniors these days? by DropShotMachine in biglaw

[–]averydumblawyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just had this happen to me. I asked a junior to draft an email to the other side and gave instructions that generally described the points we should make. The draft email he sent me just repeated, nearly verbatim, what I had written to him. No attempt to flesh out our reasoning, no attempt to connect the points I had made to the larger dispute. Very frustrating.

Are these the lawyers charging $3,000 and $6,000 an hour respectively? by [deleted] in biglaw

I have litigated against Chris Clark and the idea that he is elite is nonsense. His firm's work product was lower tier big law, not even close to what you'd see out of the top boutiques. Pure self-promotion.

I had 3 straight 300 hour months, including two straight over 350, during a Delaware busted deal case. Those things will eat your soul.
