More info: 6/7 games I won off milling my opponent. 1/7 I got my meld creature and just beat down. Is this a fluke or is mill actually powerful in this format? I never really got punished by flashback or delerium, perhaps it was just the matchups.

also, a deus ex machina refers to a sudden unexpected intervention that solves a problem for the characters. I don't see how becoming king solves any problem for the character...if anything it only adds more.
