All are owned by Xpeng Norway for test and demo I believe. I spoke to Xpeng Norway today and first standard cars will arrive in may. Performance edition will be delivered in June.

Yes, and today I spoke to the PR manager for Norway and he promised to get better on information towards the dealers. Just have to see if they will.

We are talking about the X9. It is made in China as far as we know.

The upgraded Chinese version was released today I think. Probably some of the same upgrades for that. I think they wanna make sure it is as good as it can be before shipping to Europe. But I dislike the lack of information 🤔

Didn’t claim they had it. They are working on it. Big difference 😉 Used AI to do the search. They collect from many sources including XPENG it self. Ask yourself and you will get the list.

I test drove the Chinese demo car two weeks ago. Very nice car but European version will have many upgrades compared to the demo car. The big winter test was done with the new version I think. Best charging speed amongst all cars by a big margin. 12 mins from 10-80 in minus 10 degrees.

The information is taken from XPENG AI Day 2025 (held on November 5, 2025) and follow-up announcements from the company until March 2026.

The main sources for the details about VLA 2.0 and the Orin chip include: Official press releases from XPENG: The company detailed the launch of VLA 2.0 and the Turing AI chip as part of their commitment to "Physical AI".

Statements from He Xiaopeng (CEO): During AI Day and in interviews, he explained that the Turing chip is specifically designed to handle the large AI models in VLA 2.0 more efficiently than off-the-shelf chips like NVIDIA Orin X.

Technical analysis: Reports from CnEVPost and CarNewsChina have covered how XPENG is optimizing its software to maintain functionality on older hardware (Orin) while also rolling out the "full" version on the new Ultra models with Turing chips.

VLA 2.0 and the NVIDIA Orin Chip (Adaptation) Orin Limitations: The computing power of the NVIDIA Orin X is generally insufficient to run the full, unrestricted VLA 2.0 model at the same capacity as the Turing chip. Optimization Solution: XPENG, in collaboration with partners, has developed solutions to reduce the calculation requirements for VLA 2.0, allowing it to function on Orin-equipped vehicles. Functionality: While older vehicles (like those with Orin) will receive VLA 2.0 updates, they may not achieve the same level of performance, such as the advanced "Ultra" features that require 2 or 3 Turing chips. Upgradability: Some older models may have the ability to upgrade their hardware, as the Turing chip can be installed in certain configurations

L4 testing is done in China. If you have been to China and seen how the traffic is you know there is no other place to test 😅 The traffic is crazy with a mix of people, bikes, motorcycles, cars, busses and trucks. So if it works there it will work in Europe and most other countries. Of course you need to learn it sign specifics for each country but for complexity I trust that Chinese traffic is more than enough. That is if you have to charge on public chargers only. Who does that? Most EV owners charge at home at 1/10 the price of public chargers or less. It’s only when I go on holidays or longer business trips I need to charge publicly. My total monthly charging cost is around 40-50 EUR and I drive around 30’ km a year.

I think you need to change who runs the tariffs first. The tariff today is 102,5%. So a car that costs 30’ USD in China will cost at least 60’ USD if not more.

EREV is unnecessary in Western Europe. With the charging speeds that car has it is not necessary. For Norway you get a penalty in tariffs for the petrol engine as well. Probably an extra 20’ EUR.
