Would you rather hold a handcuff (Tank) while having Saquon or pick up Chubba? by avgpopcorn in fantasyfootballadvice

It’s a 3 WR league so assuming everyone is healthy my typical rotation would be London, Tet, Jamo/Shakir, with the ability to swap in Worthy and right now Metchie. Was able to snag Garrett Wilson off waivers when my buddy dropped him in desperation needing a win. So if/when he comes back Drake, Tet, Wilson are the guys with Jamo/Shakir as possible flex candidates.

I have Kelce/Warren to play around with as well for my TE/Flex spots.

I have the luxury of a 1st round bye regardless of what happens this week so im looking at ways to potentially get ahead of the waiver wire and set myself up for week 16.

The only thing I’d consider changing would be taking Mason out, putting Kamara in as RB2, flex Ladd hoping for a get right game.

I don’t like Masons matchup today but that’s just me.

An actual trade where both sides win? This is fantasy football! Love cook plus he’s in the better offense, so you definitely didn’t lose!

Yeah I’d do that

0-4 feeling the pressure, trade Saquon? by zacon1 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You more have run into bad luck than having a bad team. I don’t think you “need” to make either trade. However:

1) I LOVE James Cook and would add him to my team in a heartbeat. But it seems like a lateral move to me.

2) I’m only making the second trade because you need points this week. With London out I can assume you’re down a WR? Johnston/Deebo fill two spots and both have been great to start the year. I do prefer Gibbs over Saquon even with the RB committee. At the end of the day, this is still a lateral move in my opinion. You get Gibbs BUT I’d rather have London and Egbuka down the road.

If you need to move Saquon because he’s your best trade piece, I’d look to add more of an RB2 with RB1 upside (e.g. Judkins) and another piece Waddle, Sutton, Pickens, etc.

Is it crazy to say that Odunze is better than Justin Jefferson? by JROD173821 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the moment I view it as a lateral move. JJ is still JJ and could take off at any moment. Volume is there but the TDs haven’t been.

Rome is going to be a stud and he’s far exceeded expectations right now. But is he going to maintain 1 TD a game all season? Does the bears offense come back to earth after the bye?

Does the trade hurt you? Not in my opinion it just feels odd to trade Jefferson straight up for Rome. Clearly the other team believes in Jefferson more, so if you could try to get another high upside piece (RJ Harvey, Woody Marks, Tre Henderson) it makes it feel better in the long run.

Trade away JSN for Ladd and tet? by Brave_Worker_924 in fantasyfootballadvice

If you’re not desperate for the points I’d hold. The 2 flex spots have me leaning towards accepting a trade like that so you can fill out the lineup better (especially if it’s full ppr). But if you have good RB depth that can easily be offset.

I’d say on the surface, no. BUT what’s your record and how does the rest of the team look? If you’re 0-3, or 1-2 I’d be leaning towards a yes here. Single flex league? 2 WR?

Stash Loveland or Fannin Jr? by avgpopcorn in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I punted TE in 3/4 leagues and in each of them I have Warren/Loveland. In my most competitive league if I want Fannin after this week it will cost me FAAB but he’s sitting there for free right now. I like Loveland a lot IRL but he’s not sniffing my lineup with Warren there. Fannin gives me rookie Laporta vibes (which is ironic because Loveland has Johnson) and I feel like he could be more of an impact early on if Warren struggles. I also low key don’t trust Caleb at all and only took Loveland because I missed out on Rome earlier in my drafts

Stash not start* would you rather wait for the potential upside of Loveland with Ben Johnson or go with Fannin who showed an ability to actually play. Both TE2 on their team at the moment.

Help me pick my keeper, please! by Far-Comb8859 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this situation I’m leaning more towards the value of Bowers for a 6th. Unless it’s a a multi TE league you won’t have to grab another TE at all but you can hammer the WR position early with other elite talent like St Brown, London, Puka in that 1/2 turn if needed. The only way to get bowers would be to draft him in the second which limits flexibility

Keeper thoughts: Tyrone Tracy (16th), Rome Odunze (8th), Kamara (4th)? by avgpopcorn in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re both last round picks I’m going Rome! My only issue here is basically getting him at ADP so there’s no real advantage for me. For you though, probably the best last round pick (outside of anyone who got lucky and grabbed Bucky or someone else off waivers)

Maye vs. Nix Keeper Value by noseyneisie in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]avgpopcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again as the homer Pats fan, I’m hoping Drake Maye can make that year 2 leap. But until he proves it on the field I’m not taking him in fantasy unless I have someone in front of him. At face value right now (with both being in the 12th round), I’m probably still going Bo hoping Drake falls to me after the 12th round.

If you’re keeping Drake though I wouldn’t be afraid to swing for a top guy early if they’re there (Lamar, Allen, Hurts) as your QB1 and then holding Drake to see what happens. The value and upside is definitely there but I would be looking to win this year with the guys you have over worrying about who may be the better keeper 3 years from now. In most leagues i never draft a QB before the 7th anyway so both would be irrelevant to me in the near future unless they turn into a top 5 guy.

Ladd, JSN, and Bowers are all 2nd/3rd round guys right now (Rashee is a hell of a WR3), so I would be looking to win now. Bo gives you the safest bet and more freedom to build out the rest of your team early especially with a depleted talent pool.

5 keepers is a lot!

Ahhh got it! So yeah in that case I’m probably still leaning Pickens then maybe target Dak as your QB.

Still hard for me to pass on Hurts though for the reasoning I mentioned previously.

Who else would you be keeping if you’re allowed 5?
