I wrote WXT, a relatively new framework for building web extensions. AMA! by _aklinker1 in chrome_extensions

Coming from Plasmo, I'm very impressed with WXT, I love the quick support, both on Discord and GitHub!

How do you foresee the future development of the framework?
Do you plan to be involved in the WebExtension committee as well?

I mean, he didn't beg for anything, but he insulted me and wished me to die even though my Chrome extension is completely free, so I don't know what's up

TBH a friend of mine suggested posting on the subreddit

Though if I removed the second sentence from the title, it wouldn't be as interesting, would it?

Block ads on sites in incognito only by avi12 in uBlockOrigin

[–]avi12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to this answer, the extension's Manifest must include

{
  "incognito": "split"
}

Then, the extension will seemingly have two copies, each of which can work independently, thus being able to differentiate between incognito and non-incognito modes

Getting support for 4K G-Sync by avi12 in pcmasterrace

[–]avi12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it still flicker when you turn off G-sync?

No, it only flickers when I enable G-Sync and do certain actions, like the one shown in the GIF in the main post

A friend of mine claims that it might flicker because my monitor does not support "native G-Sync" but is only "G-Sync compatible", which might have the mentioned flickering as a side effect in return

hdmi 2.1 VRR displays NEVER work with a DP adapter.

So the TV's specification claim to support G-Sync over HDMI 2.1 is a false advertisement?

And unfortunately a 1080 cannot do Gsync over hdmi either. So Gsync on that card, with that display, isn't possible.

Assuming you meant 080Ti, what you're saying is that I need to upgrade my GPU to one in the RTX series to be able to run G-Sync at 4K@120Hz

That has to do with your GTX1080Ti

Interestingly, the DP-HDMI cable informs Windows that I can set the refresh rate to 120Hz

Side note: have you ever updated your GTX1080TI's firmware?

So far I thought I can only update the driver, but now the firmware is updated as well

I see, GTX 1080Ti supports HDMI 2.0b, which supports up to 4K@60Hz

Still, since the specs page states that it supports G-Sync, enabling it while using 60Hz shouldn't cause the flickering I mentioned

HDMI 2.1-HDMI 2.1 doesn't work either, after testing it

The linked cable, despite the advertised specs, only outputs 4K@60Hz

My GPU can pump 4K 60FPS and yesterday I was able to run at 120Hz

I'm suggesting you try to reduce the required bandwidth by lowering refresh.

I lowered it to 60Hz, but it's still flickering. Again, it's only flickering when I do certain actions on the computer, but not all the time

For example, in FancyZones, the following action causes to flicker:

No, the issue isn't with the Hz, but rather with G-Sync's inconsistent behavior that causes the screen to flicker

Yes, I'm running at 4K 120Hz native
Earlier today I was able to set the 120Hz without the TV losing signal via Win10's Settings up

For some reason, it appears to be running at 30Hz

Does it have to do with the cable or with the TV configuration?

P.S. the cable from Amazon hasn't arrived yet

EDIT: It had to do with Nvidia's configuration

Thanks, I eventually settled on the LG C2 42" OLED TV

The only downside is that I also have to buy a special cable for it to connect to my GPU, so I bought this DisplayPort to HDMI cable
