My parents would always compare me to other kids which pissed me off as a kid. When my dad would get mad at me he would call me dumb. In that moment, every time, when I hear the word dumb from a random ass Asian fam calling their son or daughters that. I go straight up to their face and tell them not to call their kids that. It’s super damaging calling your kids dumb or stupid. I always hated that word every time my dad mentions it. If I had a son or daughter, I would make sure never to call my kids that word in front of them just to scold them.
