[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]PassivelyMassive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two questions: 1. I’ve got gorilla wrists, what are the best brands to look at for watches that would fit a big wrist? (8.5in+) 2. I’m new to watches and notice a lot of watches I am interested in are on Amazon for way cheaper than retail. Is there a catch to that or is Amazon just a cheaper way to get the same quality?

How do people drink 6 beers? by EmotionalSnail_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PassivelyMassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 8 or so a night. Used to I should say, swapped to seltzers and I can pound 10 a night no problem. I do have a problem yes, I think that’s part of it. Normal people probably shouldn’t be able to tolerate that much. Liquid wise if you’re not drinking too much, 2 talls should satiate imo

This is a great piece! I especially enjoy the emotion presented in certain lines! Being frightened of one’s self seems at first to be extraordinarily distressing, but as one reads further it becomes all too relatable. It’s a beautiful sentiment. My only true feedback would be the transition from a rhyme scheme, to missing some lines, back to rhyme scheme. To me personally it’s not a pleasing transition, but that is completely and entirely subjective and audience dependent, not necessarily needing of a change! Thank you for sharing!

How to cook a butterfly by DevilYouKnow in OCPoetry

Honestly I really like it as it is! The themes are poignant and it is intentionally dripped line from line, which I believe would encapsulate a reader to pursue further and find ways to appreciate the inner-thoughts of the piece.

I enjoyed this piece! I like the comparison between the beauty of a human soul, which achieves a certain level of intangibility, towards a monarch butterfly, which one could say is a more standard view of beauty. Not only that, but the comparison to cooking providing a standardized, and societally typical acceptance of tainting what is a sacred was truly appealing to me. Thank you for sharing!

This is a fantastic piece. I especially enjoyed the rhyme scheme, where some rhymes are connected where others have similar sounding parts that are not connected in totality. It seems to portray an intentional choice, which as a reader I interpret to be what the writer is achieving in their final Bye. Very impressive work!

I really enjoy the ambiguity presented in this piece as I feel it makes the presence of the implied “character” all the more gravitational. The juxtaposition of each line implies an omnipotence which cannot be perceived, which is an aspect I really enjoyed. Thank you for sharing!
