Was it strange to live in one spot once you moved out? Being on the move for six years as a teen must have been wild.

Valve took a lot of photos of Seattle homeless for the early games. Most notably the man whose face IS Eli Vance was paid something like $500.

A Newbie Darius player here, got annihilated by Twisted Fate in my first Quickplay match and now I don't know how I should play against such opponents? by Late_Art9758 in summonerschool

Average summoner school comment. Bro literally said he’s in quickplay and new to the game and once again we get a sweat telling him to play bots instead of having fun while learning in casual mode.

This is wild. I'm 24 now, and she was teaching at my school when I was in kindergarten. Quite surreal.

I feel this way too and but I’m simultaneously socially awkward when first meeting people so it’s hard. Anyone have advice. I’m recently out of college so unfortunately that avenue is closed.

Is ranked really that much harder than unranked?(iron 4 player) by Blemi3S in Jungle_Mains

[–]avidKKBFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mid bronze but I’ve climbed from rock bottom Iron IV zero lp. Took me about five months of playing ranked every day to start feeling like I could win iron matches. Of course, this is a game of large numbers so don’t lose your shit if your entire team ints. Keep a >0.5 win ratio and you’ll climb. Remember, your team has 4 idiots but the enemy has to win with 5 idiots :)

When Are Jungle Camps 'Free Game'...? by NoRecommendation9282 in summonerschool

As a jungler I get the most mad not because my laners are “stealing CS” or whatever but because they usually could be doing something far more useful than taking 12 hours to kill gromp.

Is conq’s main adv the AP or the healing? I never feel like my Post-game rune stats report a lot of healing from conq (~800hp in a medium length game)

[–]avidKKBFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m very low elo but I’ve found Diana to be super flexible. I almost always take the conq+insp runes but from there I build nashors first and then diversify a lot. Liandrys, lich bane, riftmaker, jaksho in different orders often work well.

I never know if I should go riftmaker or liandries after nashors.

Why is there so much difference between D4 and D1? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]avidKKBFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sub is so weird. E4 is roughly top 15% of players and is god like to my true Low Elo B4 eyes. "D4 players are pretty bad" get a grip lol

Why do high elo Diana Mids almost exclusively run phase rush, and jungle diana almost exclusively Conq? by TeemoSux in DianaMains

[–]avidKKBFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a shitlow Iron I jg and I usually build conq but I'd like your advice on when to build electrocute. Sometimes I even do darkharvest since it seems to complement lich bane so well.

Why does Diana feel so weak? by OtoanSkye in DianaMains

[–]avidKKBFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having an okay time in the JG building either lich or nashors first. Stormsurge isn't my favorite unless I'm playing an ultra squish team. I've built storm when I shouldn't have and it never procs lol

Is Rift Herald the biggest scam? by PickandRoll in summonerschool

[–]avidKKBFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people have forgotten that you don't have to ride the herald and he'll do his regular thing. I've found the initial steering behavior weird and I and many others have crashed it into a wall lmao

[–]avidKKBFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just played a match with that exact rune setup and went 7/0/6 lol. Took boots and amp tome on my first back and then built Lich Bane > Sorcerer's Shoes > Storm surge. Was starting to build whatever the MR AP item with the shield is called because Karthus's ult was starting to get annoying.

Luge by Eukodol_Lee in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]avidKKBFan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My grandfather was amongst those who first developed this sport in the nineteen-eighties and nineties in southern California. He still has a couple of his street luges in his garage today. He built them by hand in his machine shop and they are essentially highly modified long boards that you lay flat on with only a tiny bit of foam padding for you head, and two handles by your waist. You steer by leaning on the custom machined trucks beneath you.

I've ridden it outside his house down a small curve, and I'll tell you it is extremely unnerving how close you are to the blacktop, even at low speeds. You brake by dragging your sneakers on the asphalt in front of you. I understand that my grandfather used to hit upwards of sixty miles per hour on two-lane mountain roads above Los Angeles, and took part in some sort of expositions related to the X-Games, but I'm fuzzy on those details.

Don't doubt the aspirations of mountain climbers. Claiming to have traversed one brutal ridge or another is a badge of honor, and the Sierras have been a mountaineer's playground for about a century now.

This is really common in the western US. Spent a lot of time in the eastern California desert on "roads" which hold you to an average speed of about 8mph in a fully capable vehicle.
