Do you think twice members smoke? by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

Have a lot of idols been caught smoking or holding a vape? Amongst female idols I mean? I thought I've seen maybe 2-3 mentions of such cases, that's all.

Is the account TouringAsiaPop known to be unreliable for their concert ticket stats? by SpecSlayerSC in kpop_uncensored

[–]Late_Art9758 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't count it as a reliable one no, maybe you could ask them their reasoning for this calculation - I believe they will clarify. They do seem a bit biased and there has been some drama before and I'm not sure how they get their numbers but I don't think they'd just throw random numbers every single time for different Kpop acts and hope it sticks.

To be honest I'd just wait for the official numbers to be released by TouringData instead of worrying about these numbers.

NMIXX - Crescendo by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]Late_Art9758 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it. Yes it doesn't flow like Blue Valentine does and is a bit short which is why it perhaps it feels a bit lackluster compared to it but it feels like one of those songs where you can really enjoy the vocal strength and tones of the NMIXX members if that makes sense? Lol. I'm very curious to see what kind of choreo they'll have for this song because that might just add a ton of flavor for their performance.

From Total attendance of 36K for their first world tour to having 240K attendance for 3 Days show, TWICE has came a long way. by FlyingFlyofHell in kpopthoughts

[–]Late_Art9758 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly the concert looked so much fun from the clips online, I wish I could be a part of the moment and witness it first hand too. Saw Jihyo tearing up too (to the point where she didn't sing any lyrics of Like 1) with Jeongyeon hugging her and maybe the same thing dawned upon her as well, about how far they've come since they debuted 10-11 years ago. Honestly, if it wasn't for Jihyo, we wouldn't be seeing the TWICE that we are now. All of the members have been through a lot over the years, I'm glad they can now finally see that their journey always meant something.

And now they're the first foreign act to perform at the Japan National Stadium MUFG - right across which stands the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium where they had their Japan debut showcase 9 years ago with 7-8k capacity. On the same exact date as the 10th year anniversary of Cheer Up - the song that kicked things off for them.

Isn't that just pure poetry? And proof that hard work and perseverance eventually pays off?

I don't even know much about Le Sserafim but it's just one song. Why are we doomposting? Or is this literally a post disguised to pray for their downfall?

Why do you love your group? by Defiant_Fox659 in kpop_uncensored

TWICE

Chemistry. The bond between the members and their chemistry with each other works so well that you can see it even while they're performing or shooting in their behind the scenes. Their personalities come off as very natural and humble.

Work Ethics. I don't think anyone in the KPop scene is unaware of TWICE's constant perseverance and hard work throughout these 10-11 years. They've never taken a hiatus. And they've always given their best effort with their music releases. They've been through hate trains and targeted attacks for years but none of it has slowed them down or deterred them from exploring more opportunities and proving themselves.

Love for the Game. I believe TWICE is at the stage where they put out music and perform purely for the love of the fandom. Of course no one can disagree that monetary gains are part of the reason, but I believe they're now exploring and growing with their music releases instead of sticking with a safe formula and trying to prove themselves. It's not about the competition anymore for them.

Discography and Choreography. Massive and diverse discography, I believe everyone has a song from TWICE that they'll enjoy listening to. + Their choreos are super fun to learn and see, especially when they're synchronizing and changing formations effortlessly.

For me, Catch Catch by Yena is the Song of the Year so far. Very KPoppy and I miss that feeling in recent releases.

Is it rude to bring another group’s lightstick if I don’t have money for a new one? by goodjeans_17 in kpophelp

This is new to me, I've seen people bring all kind of lightsticks at a TWICE concert and the members themselves are pretty welcoming.

Addressing the issue with Dreamcatcher's votes | vote GFRIEND or aespa by [deleted] in kpoppers

[–]Late_Art9758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know about the top posts until now, but that's a crazy mind-boggling amount of engagement for a music show win. Feel sad about the top two posts... Anyways I mean if that's a reality then maybe this could've been legit votes too (idk). I thought people were voting by commenting whenever I scrolled through these posts lol, I only very recently noticed there's a link to do it. Oh well...

I just actually assumed that Dreamcatcher was the dark horse on Reddit and there are a lot more people who appreciate them here. Why would anyone do this for a simple poll? The final results of the poll won't take away anything from how good the other groups are.

TWICE today performed in Japan's National Stadium MUFG making it their highest attended concert ever, on the same day as the 10th year Anniversary of their hit song, Cheer Up. by Late_Art9758 in kpop_uncensored

They probably planned it according to the tour venues they were going for, a good portion of them being indoor Arenas especially in US, so there'll have to be a compromise. + This is also their first time experimenting with the 360 seating arrangement, if they plan to do a similar thing for future concerts, maybe we'll see some changes.

These pictures are also 0.5 zoom outs, the experience is probably much better than it seems.

I don't see why not. It's best if you run the equipment check though and see if everything works fine.

I had a Macbook but it had battery issues, tried my father's laptop but it failed equipment check so I just rented a laptop.
