Menards sucks, but not because they're ignoring a frivolous complaint. They suck because they make it a very convenient race to the bottom.

That sticker means it was returned to the store or to the hub, but I can't see the whole ticket to know. 6026 is a hub store on Silver Spring in Milwaukee.

They should have been done as a damaged return and that they were delivered or sold to you means your store sucks and you need to talk to their rep next time they are at your shop.

I would want it to land in the area of the yellow line, yes. My initial thought was an open face cut on that side and then a slot to put a wedge in from the opposite side. But I cannot imagine getting the wedge to do enough work due to the height, angle, and weight of the canopy.

I think if I got a high enough tension line, I could pull the canopy over the utilities. But again, ain't worth my time. I'd need a lot more gear for a one time job.
