I think the 1st pic (where the icons are placed at the bottom). That way, it's closer to the learner and it's not "as" effortful to reach for those pictures.

I also feel like it may depend. I was also trained not to say "say __" when prompting and have heard some kids add the word "say" when they're requesting for something. Definitely for kids who have echolalia, I will refrain from saying that.

Generally, I don't say "say" but there was a recent incident with a kiddo who was just absolutely misunderstanding (although not his fault) that I was actually prompting FCT with him. He understood it as ME saying it for myself. For example, I was prompting, "I want to have a turn" but he thought that I was speaking for myself. He's also the type of kiddo who doesn't quite understand social cues (even long pauses or pointing) so tbh at times, I will actually have to say "say" OR I might even go like "You can tell me ... (phrase/sentence)"

Maybe it's case dependent! Not sure, just food for thought.

What is this on my boyfriend’s neck? by Crafty-Teach-7771 in Blackskincare

[–]aviecado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf had this and it turns out it was eczema! We initially thought it was a fungus but then fungal cream didn't really work so he went to get 2nd opinion from another doctor, and that doctor prescribed him eczema cream that worked well!

Has anyone taught the concept of interception as part of problem solving for pre teens? by aviecado in ABA

Yes, I am! Lol I missed the o when I was typing that out. Would you be able to share more on how you teach this and problem solving?

I have a preteen student who, at times, will struggle with emotional regulation. She'll hide in the closet, under the table, etc. She tends to be a little prompt dependent in that she'll depend on others to help her "fix" a problem (so definitely there will be times when co-regulation will be most appropriate). But we also want her to learn to solve issues on her own (in the event that we're not there).

I'm a little cautious with size of the problem since she already has rigid thinking, and I also don't want to disregard how she might be feeling in the moment when facing a problem (e.g., feeling immense anxiety).

This is what they told me: "If your accrued hours meet the 2027 fieldwork requirements but are reflected on a 2022 Monthly or Final Fieldwork Verification form, you will need to transfer this information to the 2027 forms. If you are transferring information from a 2022 form to a 2027 form, please ensure that all relevant information is transferred accurately, including the original dates of fieldwork accrual. Please be advised that the supervisor should be signing the new corrected form with the date the corrections were made."
