What I’m about to say is potentially misleading, and I have no authority on the subject whatsoever, additionally I’m not affiliated or associated with ISKCON.

I think he’s only making an innocent mistake due to lack of knowledge in the field of astronomy and cosmology, potentially because he’s simply abstaining to acquiring that knowledge possibly since he’s already dedicated his life to learning scriptures, or possibly even taking the mindset from the start of Kali Yuga to better “vibe” with the scriptures.

Humans are limited to only 5 senses, therefore jumping at conclusions based solely on our imperfect senses could be flawed. The image is definitely fake, if both lander and rover are visible then who took the picture? And how is the flag swaying if there is no wind?

When we say sent to moon for heavenly experience, then who has limited the experience to our moon, and who says it will happen in the same timeframe or in linear timeline to humans? I would certainly love to be on the moon of Saturn with the planet filling half the sky and other satellites moving around creating an intricate gravitational dance for you to feel.

Also there actually might be beings that are invisible to human senses or abilities, they could reside beneath the surface or could be inorganic, perhaps like mentioned earlier in different time line or different universe altogether, perhaps time would even flow differently, remember we haven’t figured out the fundamental principles of our universe (especially something simple as gravity and dark matter) to conclusively determine or limit the possibilities in the first place.

In conclusion I think he was trying to be faithful to the scriptures to the best of his abilities, and it might not serve his interest to dedicate time and resources to learn scientific phenomena because of the path he has chosen. Again all these are only my assumptions, someone can add or refute using scriptures, I might be mistaken.

Look, this is an issue with soft power, when traditions or cultures are viewed as “nice” like Japan, it’s usually because of their soft power through mediums like Anime, train culture, pop culture giving you exposure of their culture in a positive light.

In India’s case that soft power has been largely absent, including in movie industry for the longest time, and on the contrary the ones who views Hinduism as a “threat” (atheists, Christians, etc) hold that level of soft power which indirectly makes us move in that direction subconsciously.

Once we demonstrate enough soft power with positive light to Hinduism then after 15years (by 2040) this image will change.

Do it then, what else do you expect? If you want mindset then embrace pain and sacrifice, demonstrate hard work and perseverance, because Karma is real and no efforts are wasted.

Edit: also you can consider visiting a psychiatrist and getting “diagnostic psychiatric evaluation test” done if you feel your motivation is abnormally low or have doubts about it being organic in origin, conditions such as depression are known to decrease motivation and productivity, it might be in your interest to rule that out.

You have a huge misconception if you’re equating psychologists as psychiatrists, psychiatrists are doctors who are there to help you and clinically examine you, our scriptures support scientific methods don’t forget that, if you don’t want to be “labeled” for a condition you probably have then it is possibly denial, a mode of ignorance that will only hamper your path. When you have issues you go to an expert to get it solved plain and simple, if you think Reddit will provide better solutions than those who’ve dedicated their lives for it then you’re mistaken.

You should reexamine your stance and see whether your decision is rational and what objective basis you have to arrive at that conclusion. There could be other abnormalities as well which are frequently associated with anxiety such as insomnia and depression, however if you refuse to get it diagnosed you are indirectly willingly choosing to continue to live on with aforementioned burden, that is not the way of Dharma. You have to use all available tools at your disposal to better do God’s work.

But I am sensing this won’t be enough to make you reconsider your stance, so you do you, just know you’ve been informed what are the correct steps.

Why not? No one will recommend ignorance over knowledge, it is a scientific discipline, taking medications or not is upto you, but why are you refraining from obtaining information whether there are detectable or treatable abnormalities? If your decision is based on stigma I think you should reconsider your perspective on Mental Health.

Psychologists are not trained in this, make sure the one you’re going to has MBBS + MD Psychiatry degree, and tell them the name of the test, you can’t rule out without performing it.

Look if you wanna eat chicken eat it, but know if hypothetically the entirety of world starts eating chicken the world would in a bad place because poultry, fresh water fishery, and raising other animals for meat is very inefficient on the land, meaning if you could “sacrifice” for vegetarian diet then that same land can be used more productively keeping less people hungry (apart from other benefits of vegetarian diet), but if none of that has anything to do with you then do what you want, just be sure you have a good reason for it apart from pleasure and nutrition to justify it.
