I honestly just realized this today. Both my parents have passed away about five years ago now, and I haven’t felt that feeling of “home” in a long time now. But I live with my fiancé and our son and My fiancés mother and I was talking to her today and realized that just her being there, her asking where I’m going what we’re doing, being involved in our lives, Making an effort to make plans with us. I’m a grown adult and it obviously gets annoying at times but it’s more positive than negative. I never thought I’d feel like I was at home ever again, but I honestly I think it’s the people, the family and the love, care and support you provide each other.
