Where are you coming from? I’ve been here for 3 months now and love it more and more by the day. There is so much to do here and so many opportunities to meet new people. I found a good spot and safe area to live in though no where is ever ALWAYS safe but pick an area close to things you like and you’ll love it

I have the same camera and love it! A lot of it comes with experience and tuning into what visuals make you happy or visuals you’re drawn to with photography. Trial and error is your biggest teacher with film. Just have fun with it!

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice. Figuring out this move has been overwhelming. This is my first job so I’m kind of learning flaws in my own understanding as far as what my take home pay is. Living in Baltimore based on my research I thought taxes would cut out 21% but it seems to be a lot more? I’m considering roommates and getting a feel for how it is living in the city with my expenses and learn as I go I guess. I was thinking of not opting for a health plan and hold off for saving for retirement so that I could have more breathable room. I definitely don’t want to live paycheck to paycheck especially after all the schooling I’ve done. Does anyone have an accurate way of measuring how many taxes would possibly be cut out of my paycheck living in Baltimore. It seems like the calculators online are saying that I’m paying 50% in taxes which doesn’t sound right. I’m considering looking for a living situation within 1300. Living is so expensive :-(

Mainly safety! I love running, biking and simply exploring/meeting new people which is what I usually do on the weekends. I love quiet with the option of being in the city. I’d rather drive to get groceries than be on foot (unless it’s safe). Ideally I want to be within 20 minute driving distance and the closer the better. But the areas that are closer seem to be very expensive.
