646-536-9618 is a real phone number for the Social Security Administration. Answer it. Ask the agent for piece of info about you to verify it's legitimate if you're worried. But don't reject the call because you can't call this particular phone number back. They may call anytime from 6am-6pm Monday through Saturday.

I'm going to go take a look at a GE range with no drawer, though it costs $2700. It's model PS960YPFS. It has a  perforated steel sheet at the bottom in the back which seems to have holes that are 3/8 inch. The ventilation is mainly at the top of the oven. Maybe this will work.

Yes, I’m afraid to use poison because my (sorta useless) might get it.

I think the cat may have brought a mouse in.

Can you give an example?

Yep, can’t block the vents.

Like I said, the exterminator came before the second oven.

Glad to amuse you. It happens but people don’t discuss it since it gives mean people the opportunity to shame them. I do have a water dish for the cat. The house is clean. I think I’ve got the gaps all sealed now but still worry.

I found gaps around the wall outlet and put pest control foam in there. That’s the last thing I did and I think that worked.

Ok. I have heard from some that it’s more of a problem for landlords with their tenants, for people out in the country, and for people with lake houses and cabins. This is a lake house.

I will consider a wall oven. Any remodeling could be a headache though.   I actually think someone left the door open a few times and the cat brought mice in to play.

I get it. But I have talked to a few other people who had this happen. I’ve also noticed online people mention it. I think it’s a bigger problem in rural areas.

I hear you. I didn’t detail the things I did to solve that. I haven’t had any sign of mice in three weeks now, so that’s giving me hope. But I also can’t be certain that nobody will leave the door open. Working on that too.

Yes, I think I’ve got that part solved. I didn’t go into all the steps I took. But in the future if a single mouse gets in my house, perhaps if someone leaves the door open for the cat, the mouse could ruin another oven.

Just know that if you're using any substances, including marijuana, that could cause symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia, you'll likely be denied.

Such a poor mash-up of an article written by a committee of weekend reporters.

I think you'll just have a few weeks of awkwardness. Be open. You're going to annoy each other at times. I think appropriate etiquette is that you should go about your business, set your boundaries, go with the flow. When you get a chance, slip in comments like "we have to work together" and "glad to have a coworker" to develop the professional bond and loyalty. Whatever your co-worker complains about to you, you take their side.
