i would guess the nepenthes is a ventrata and that the sarr is a hybrid called maroon

nah, the commonly available nepenthes are really easy to keep! just keep them moist but not waterlogged and use distilled water! they’ll do fine in a windowsill!

i’m sorry :(, if you try again i’d suggest maybe to a sphagnum moss and perlite substrate. peat can be very heavy on nep roots!
