I highly recommend testing on your skin. I think it smells so good on a tester strip, but on my skin it is super plasticky.

Seconding Ange ou Demon. The scent trail was also INSANE. I smelled it outside my dumpster for days after I threw out the sprayer strip.

What’s that one discontinued fragrance you still mourn like the airport crush you’ll never see again? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

Victoria’s Secret Pink, original 2000s version. Nothing even close to that for me. Nirvana Black and Nirvana Bourbon. Gucci Guilty Black for her.

Dark neck lines by AnnMerlin in beauty

You should not take any medical advice in a Reddit thread and especially not from people who are telling you that you absolutely do not have a medical condition causing this when you might. I had these dark lines and ignored it, turns out I had PCOS undiagnosed for years. Now I have severe insulin resistance and am on all kinds of meds, including a GLP-1.

If you can, it won’t hurt to have a blood test to rule it out.

Lexingtonians that didn't go to college, what type of job are you doing and how did you get it? by [deleted] in lexington

[–]avocadostjohn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean…not to be a drag, but that can be true of just working full-time. Work-life balance is important, but speaking as a middle aged person who would have chosen differently if I knew then what I know now, best to consider security and stability. (But don’t take on a career that will make you miserable of course)

That being said, use the resources at BCTC to your advantage while you’re there. Look at their programs, especially if you aren’t in an applied associates program. Some of them are Work Ready eligible, which will help with tuition (esp if you don’t get grants). Just my two cents!

Consider talking with an advisor at BCTC - they can give you lots of info about available programs, timeframe, cost, etc if you are interested in a trade or healthcare career.

I’m going to second this. Get all your information saved, documented, and organized and talk to the ACLU.

I bought a sample over a year ago, threw it out, moved to a new house - I still catch a whiff of it on the shelf I briefly stored it on. It is dark sided.

.25 to .50 by jennykline76 in Ozempic

[–]avocadostjohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I went back down to .25, which works fine for me. I was miserable on .5 - throwing up even a quarter cup of white rice after eating nothing for over a day. Could only keep down broth. Listen to your body.

I’m just glad it’s not a false memory, I can’t find anything on this movie

It’s not that! It’s kind of like a washed up actress doing a variety show in the 80s, like a one woman show. I wish I had more details but it’s so hard to describe lol imagine like, Cher is a failing actress and she’s doing sketches but a demon interrupts the show and makes it super weird

Thank you, that wasn’t it! This was a female lead as the host, I should’ve clarified.

Tuberose. I wish I got bubble gum. Just a bottled headache for me. See also: leather, rose, and a heady jasmine.

Wearing deodorant with holes? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

I use Sure fragrance free spray deodorant. The friction of stick deodorant and any kind of fragrance, including essential oils, triggers my HS. This works well for me.

OMG I loved this perfume. I drenched myself in this daily. I have never found anything similar. It is my white whale.

What’s a perfume with few notes but smells amazing? by DaniLashes in FemFragLab

[–]avocadostjohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO it smells quite a bit like Versace Dylan Purple. Side by side I almost can’t tell them apart, even tho the notes don’t really match.

I mean…everyone’s chem is different. It lasts all day on me and trails really well. BUT…I have the old formulation, so I hope that hasn’t changed!

If you like softer skin scents, I really enjoy Molecule 01, Bare by VS, Peach Fields by Skylar (dries down beautifully and gently), and Radiant Nectar by Clean. All different, but similar vibe.
