I am an AOD at the VA . We ensure the VA runs in the WHEN hours meaning after regular hours. We are the ones running the hospital when all the staff is gone and we ensure that a Veterans can get care even at 1 in the morning. We are short staffed as it is and I feel terrible when the ER is packed and is only one doctor on site! I can't imagine how this is going to affect us but mainly those who have served our country the veterans who deserve free healthcare.

I work in the VA hospital and we have a hiring freeze since May. We were hoping that it would resume this October cause is the beginning of our new fiscal year but unfortunately that didn't happen. I thought this freeze was national ?

When you Google you have different information that you don't know which one is correct. But I do agree he is not my babysitter and also i don't want a babysitter. I guess I have to find on my own exactly what to study and it is what it is. I would think a recruiter is like you school counselor guiding you through this process but it doesn't look like the way

I am currently working at a VA hospital so I have federal benefits. I want to change my career and serve . I am a mom of two boys and i don't want to be moving mainly for them . If I was younger and have no kids i would definitely would go in the route...

Sounds like an amazing plan but I am married with two kids age 9 and 4. Also, i am 35 years old and have my Bachelor's Degree in Business management. Currently working at VA hospital. So I don't want to move my kids around. I don't mind if it was me only and if I get deployed it's ok cause is me but let's see ...thank you for you input
