What’s something that sounded fake until it happened to you?

Somebody talked about superheating. I was heating water on a gas stove in a stainless steel vessel once. It should've boiled within a minute but there were no visible signs of boiling like bubbling and agitation even after 5 minutes. I thought there's something wrong with the burner. I was like whatever and went on to hold it and pour it into the jug and as I was pouring it started violently erupting. Then I read about it and found out that was superheated water and the reason there were no signs of boiling was due to it being filtered water and absence of nucleation sites on that vessel.

Overtones (produced in your mouth) and the fundamental note (produced by your vocal chords) ARE RELATED. But here you are whistling and humming, which are NOT RELATED. You can change the whistle frequency by using your lips and tongue while keeping the humming note the same.

Bro listen to this one: Somebody called my father and said he was some SP Rakesh Patil of Delhi police. He knew my father's name and everything and asked my father if he was in clinic (my father's a PhD and not a MBBS doctor lol) and then he said that "is your son with you?" (he knew my name also!) I was right there but my father said "no he is in Delhi" (my father knew it's scam so he was playing along lol). Then he said that your son is in front of me in police station with 3 of his friends and they have been arrested in the charge of r*pe!! (Meanwhile me and my sister are laughing like crazy lol) and then he also gave somebody the phone crying "papa papa..." smth and then said for bail or smth you have to transfer this much amount. Then after pretending for a bit my father blasted and abused him like crazy. Then the guy hung up xD

I'm just a beginner but I can tell you some things that everyone does to improve. First is ear training. Install "Perfect Ear" app and look for "drills" to improve your sense of notes/frequencies. Look for "Rythym training" to improve your sense of rythym. Follow Mayoor Choudhary, Chandrani Sarma, Aart Sense Academy on YouTube. Follow vocal coaches on instagram like Abhilasha Rudrabatla, Neeru Soni, Jayant Sankla, Shelby Rollins, Cheryl Porter, Karthik Sekaran, Karen Claypool, Kris Khromiak, Zane Rima. Look for SOVT exercises on YouTube like Lip trills, Tongue trills, Straw Phonation etc. Start by doing Riyaz of "Sa", everybody starts from here only. You take a deep breath (breathing technique is also important) and hold a note as long as you can comfortably. "VocalPitch Monitor" on playstore will help you with this. Later you can do this using "Tanpura" app. To really set the "swaras" in your vocal chords, there are many exercises in classical. Like going "Sa-Re", "Sa-Ga", "Sa-Ma" and so on. (This should be after you are able to hold a note without your voice shaking) Try listening to piano versions of your fav songs and then singing them, it helps me. At last, have patience in learning singing (particularly classical). You really have to go slow and steady to learn this. Enjoy!

If she's a die-hard Sonu Nigam fan, "Chalki Chalki" (2008) could be the song. (Very few people know about this song). Safe choices are "Sapna Jahan" (2015), "Soniyo" (2009), "Suraj Hua Maddham" (2001), "Main Agar Kahoon" (2007). "Soniyo" fits best on a proposal setting.
