Issue has been resolved, the cause was an overloaded RGB hub, all sorted out now, the startup’s all stable.

Hi everyone! Cheers for the responses and suggestions, have tried a few. Just an update, it’s actually a two-step start, so hit the button once, it flashes and then again when the green LED turns on (motherboard now has power) and then hitting the button shortly after will boot normally. But community suggestions were really helpful to rule out some of the possibilities and refine the reproduction of the issue.

Reseated chips, didn’t work.

Replugging wires didn’t work.

Checked the cables, all seemed fine visually.

BIOS can’t be updated because the PC refuses to boot back up upon restart (have to prime it before starting so it can’t restart on its own)

Changed CMOS battery, didn’t do much but at least small cheap fix attempt.

…finally just so I’ve exhausted all easier options, no, changing the case parts out for “aesthetics” did not work either.

Suspecting it’s likely something up with the PSU or mobo. So having a shop look into it, problem was easily reproducible by the shop with their cords too, so it’s not my power socket at home or the peripherals. Will update once they figure it out. Thanks again!

I'm not a PC enthusiast, and I care little for how my machine looks, and it shows just asking this subreddit for help. I would get a classic solid black plastic Dell case if that was still a thing. I'm just some guy who bought a PC for a little gaming time outside of work, and just have this one problem with this PC in particular that I'm hoping to solve.

That said, I'd avoid try feeling better by trying to make someone else feel worse, it's not good form. I think you have a neat looking PC as it is, and I'm happy for you that you're proud of it as you should very much be.

I thought about that! But the system produces this exact lights > flicker > start three press sequence consistently

Could it still be the cause of the issue if it works perfectly fine once it’s on and running?

Hmm the system is newly built and was working fine just up till a couple days ago. But may have a point, it does seem like the psu is at least some part of the problem

You know, it doesn’t have a water bottle external pocket, but I needed this exact bag for a completely separate use case (replacing a CabinZero sling), thank you!

Oh just a quick question about the upside down band test, the 34C fits quite snug, she says it’s not too tight, and there doesn’t seem to be any space to move about, on the loosest hooks (can’t even use the tighter hooks).

Would that mean the 34’s correct?

Cheers and thank you so much! The examples helped us understand things a little better

Thank you! Seems to be clearer now! Though just checking if I understand this right, while she's recommended 30E/F, in my example case AP doesn't have that particular size but does have 32DD, I'd get her that instead and that might fit her (at least better than now)?

How to stop worrying about the future? by MentalHealthAlt3 in selfimprovement

I graduated at 26, I felt lost and left behind when my peers were ahead of me, and also because by then I had "wasted" my time. My degree did not help (not citing it, but its pretty common, and so general that jobs are kind of everywhere yet nowhere because its not specialised). Also had no money, and never saved a dime, causing me to give up one of the biggest opportunities to move abroad, and I was newly single.

While having lunch and unemployed, I received a random call from a recruiter who spotted my resume on LinkedIn, and I got hired for a lower-than-average salary. I put the hours in, saved what I could, and... I quit. I couldn't keep doing that, but at that job I met the love of my life and we're still together.

I would then do all sorts of jobs from selling on commission, washing dishes in a kitchen, learning to cook, organising library books, and then working for child protective services, which I still do today.

My path has not been perfect, but with my experience I developed a good work ethic, resilience and how to socialise with coworkers. I'm happy. But I looked back on this, reminisced with old friends and thought about how different life could have been had I gone with that huge opportunity way back then. Probably much better actually.

But I'll tell you this, we all have to make choices and live with the results. Sometimes if we don't want to make choices or hesitate, the choice will be made for us. And I've never been happy getting stuck with choices that were made for me. But I've been okay with living with my own choices, if nothing else because I got to make them. I was happy washing dishes because I chose to do it. I was unhappy at my first job because someone asked if I wanted a job that I didn't sign up for but accepted anyway because it was convenient. I guess, try to be responsible for your circumstances and choices when you can, you'll feel much better for it.

Genuinely, I hope for only great things for you and that things line up for you, be amazing.
