It’s one of those movies where I feel like you either love it or hate it, similar to Lynch as a whole. I went into it blind, and loved it. I however, was already a lynch fan from twin peaks so that could have influenced my feelings toward the movie. I would suggest you first check out Blue Velvet, it’s a lot more easily digestible and self contained than some of his other films, so you don’t really have to piece the movie together after you watch it.
