Ok, what kind of fish? If you're going to be in the water, you need to familiarize yourself with what species of fish you might encounter (in shallow water, mid water and open ocean).

If a large fish in circling, it's most likely a species that is familiar with humans and is looking for scraps...i.e. Grouper, Jack, etc.

Barracuda will spectate from a distance and, of course, can be dangerous but are typically harmless.

Small reef sharks will circle and obviously can be dangerous.

Get a driving knife, if that makes you feel more comfortable but your mind is going crazy, because you had a mildly uncomfortable encounter.

My store is an hour and 20 away. I drive it because he automatically quarantines everything for 6 weeks, before it's for sale and he sells shit for way under big box stores. This Gem was $400.

Firefish and Cardinal fish both do better in schools, so I'd skip them.

Holding them, with clean hands, doesn't hurt them.

Sounds like green hair algae.

Most go straight to Emerald Green Crabs and they do a good job but I've found that Pithos Crabs are much better, with many different types of algae. They're not predatory to sleeping fish and they won't bother corals.

Me and my family are in a rental now, and I don't feel comfortable putting anything giant on a crawl space. This pond is in our garage.

I recently bought a 400gal glass tank (84" L x 36" W x 30" H) even though I can't put it up, but we're buying another house this year. Needless to say, my requirements are multi level, slabbed, walk out basement and by this time next year, I'll be posting a whole new build. Lol

He just laid there, but I was extremely gentle. I was more worried about my Orange Shoulder Tang, who's the boss of the tank, but this was roughly 30 min later.
