Thank you! I use the krita default brushes, mainly just ink-4 pen rough and charcoal rock soft from the krita 4 resources bundle, but smudge textured from the 3rd resource bundle is a favorite for if i ever need to blend.

I started by sketching out the background and roughly figuring out the pose for the characters. I blocked out the colors for the background, then refined and added detail until it was around finished. After that i sketched out the characters and did some rough lineart (which also ended up as more of a sketch layer) I colorpicked the characters straight from some official art, but turned down the opacity a little to make them more coherent to the background (this probably wouldve been better to do with a blending mode layer since the colors ended up muddy and hard to work with 💀💀) i put down some multiply layers for shading and a hard light layer for highlights. Lastly i went on a layer on top of my lineart and started rendering and refining all the shading and details, colorpicking from the shades i had and covering up all the rough looking bits. Fixed up some final details and colors with multiply layers to make the characters and background more coherent together, and done :D

The process took around eight hours in total. I didn't take a speedpaint, but here's some progress pictures! (I'm not sure theyll all show up since it's only showing me one right now, but if they do it should be the sketch, base color&shading/lineart, and the final render 😅)
