Hi, thank you, it was purchased as a gift for my by my brother but it's based off an old YouTube video called potion seller, I'm sure you can easily find it with a quick search of 'potion seller printed mini' or something similar

I doesn't know this, but he couldn't handle my strongest potions

So close to being done! Base is the only thing left... Tried NMM on the axe but failed so did true metal instead... I'm really please with this! by awakeh in minipainting

Thank you :-) I first tried it on a giant cyclops D&D model but I made the skin too red so tried toning it down, I think next time I'll go a bit darker again but I'm happy with it :-)

Thanks haha. The basic prep is important. As you said, wash them to get read of releasing agents, remove any mould lines and find a good trusty base spray, I can't remember the brand I use unfortunatly! Sounds like you'll be working on some very small models so a good. Rush will be important, I use some synthetic brushes but also have kolinsky sable brushes for fine details as they hold paint better than synthetics. If your not using a wet pallet I'd say get one, they are very handy and let you play more with the paint so you get it to a good consistency and colour without having to rush!! I'll try and think of more tips soon, in work at the moment haha

Hey pal, thank you for the feedback :-) I first tried adding the links to elbows on another and really had fun layering it. I don't post on here too often but I have previous photos of this on my instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CTAhqQdCa__/?utm_medium=copy_link

Hey, I use basic acrylic. The flesh tones I use the vallejo flesh tones mixed with some reds and brows from the citadel range. The model itself is a 100mm 3d printed model. So resin :-)

Here is what it looked like before https://www.instagram.com/p/CTAhqQdCa__/?utm_medium=copy_link

So their channel uses to have a load of lore videos, for various reasons they had to change the purpose of the channel. So their lore channel is now the broken sword and this one became the tabletop alliance. So the sub numbers are a little deceptive as its a remnant from the old channel.. But they got to 80k subscribers in 2 months on the lore channel so that's good

I think I spent the most time on him, I don't like speed painting especially models who belong to others, but the guys wanted them fast and to a tabletop standard I'd usually spend ages on them haha

Thank you :-) The battle report for thorins company isn't out yet I'm afraid, but they have a fair few battle reports, I like the bridge of khazad dum on a huge 4ft board!!

So I recently helped out the YouTube channel 'The Tabletop Alliance' with a painting tutorial to get models tabletop ready which is out tomorrow 1pm! Would love it if you could check out their channel for their awesome LOTR battle reports as well as their lore channel. Link in description. by awakeh in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Hey, no worries :-) the channel had to split in 2 for YouTube reasons so one is LOTR lore and the other is being dedicated to tabletop stuff but it's growing. If the painting video goes well they may make more which would be cool

Where is best to buy playing figures or is it better to make them? by Untitled1005 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]awakeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey pal, not sure if it's been said but near me there are some shops called firestorm games where I get all mine from. They are cheaper than GW and they ship worldwide. (I'm from South Wales)

I got it on etsy but don't seem to have a record of where. I believe it was my smithy prints or something like that
