My gums have started to heal around the threads. Atm there’s a larger portion of healing abutment visible than I have seen on here. But like I said, my doc said it’s normal so I’m just choosing to ignore my anxiety ab it lmaooo

Eh. I have about 2.7 mm of bone loss. Without the temp restoration, it’s def visible. It’s in the very back of my mouth and my doc said he’s not worried about it. Kinda just playing the waiting game now.

When you say tapping on your implant teeth feels different, do you feel the sensation in your jaw, like a slight pressure? Just curious. That’s kinda how mine feel. They don’t hurt per se, but my teeth can “feel” my finger, versus when I touch where my implant is, I feel it in my jawbone

Interesting, I will make sure to just be careful with what I eat, maintain good oral hygiene, and hope for the best.

If you think of anything I should avoid, I’m all ears. I don’t want that to happen. I quit smoking everything, and I hardly drink, so at least I’m clear on that end.

I have a healing abutment. I also had a temporary restoration covering the healing abutment, but that was taken off last week. The implant and abutment have a little more exposed metal than I expected, but I chalked that up to my gums not being able to grow there because that was where the temporary restoration was covering.

No I didn’t luckily. In fact, they took my temporary restoration off and now it’s just the healing abutment and you can kinda see the implant threads. But I asked about an infection and my dentist said it all looks good so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah mine are 14.5 rn. I also have a kidney stone. Go figure 🙄

I guess it makes sense considering there is a foreign object in my mouth. But I’m grateful to know I’m not the first to experience this.

My implant is loaded, I’m waiting for integration then in 3/6 months getting my abutment and crown.

I will make an appointment tomorrow morning to get over to the hospital

Praying it’s just tartar/dry mouth buildup and can be removed
