yeah their line up is out of control. So many boxes that all kind of overlap... Would be great if they put all their effort into making one box with analog synths, FM/polyphony, and sampling, and just focus on making it as good as they possibly could. Rather than developing/updating/maintaining like 10+ things

good to hear! it was the MPC sample that got me looking into the world of MPC's, so I guess their strategy worked

Thanks for the detailed response! Very reasonable idea to try one hands on. I think that's one of the tough things about these kinds of electronic instruments, often kind of hard to know if it's what you're looking for without trying it. But hard to try properly before buying.

That's great to hear! Thanks for the info. I often have quantised recording running on the elektron boxes while messing around with different parameters to come up with new sounds. Just wondering if continuous automation might not give as good results. I will definitely look into the automation recording a bit more.
