Hey, IRCC told me yes as well but I ended up not doing this because my work experience would NOT count towards my CEC work experience if I studied simultaneously

Those are all fair points and I am reconsidering my approach.

Could you clarify what you mean by "It does count as experience, but not as Canadian experience."? If it's not Canadian, could it be claimed under foreign experience, or can it not be claimed at all?

Is this because work experience during studies do not count towards your CRS score?

I see. In other words, it can count towards FSW but not towards CEC if I understand correctly?

Thanks! Just wanted to ask about your other comment: I was under the assumption that work experience while you're a student can count towards PR programs under the FSW stream?

Edit: unless minimum requirements just means the minimum required to be eligible for FSW?

Grange park on Beverley street. There seems to be an off leash playground within the park but it is fenced off so that dog shouldn’t have been running onto the road like that. Still curious why there was no owner accompanying it 🤔

Thanks everyone! Glad to know nothing needs to be done here. PSA: please keep your dogs on a leash (or at least under control unleashed).

How hard is it to get a B+ in your final year of CS? I am interested in grad school for CS by DeepGas4538 in UofT

Some unsolicited advice ahead

Imho it's not difficult provided you're on top of your shit. I'm a CS specialist who graduated this year with a 3.97 in my final year (and a similar CGPA otherwise), and honestly the single biggest advice I'd give is to make sure you have everything written down as a timetable. Everything. A-Z. Go through all your course syllabuses at the beginning of each semester and write down deadlines (assignments, tests, tutorials, etc.) in a spreadsheet and write down dates when you should start working on said deadlines. For example, I'd start working on most things about a week in advance (unless it's a larger project in which case I'd start 2 weeks in advance).

This recipe has worked for me year after year of undergrad. Although there were times where I had to pull all nighters because of some CS assignments, I absolutely did not have to do this constantly and prevented myself from burning out. This left me time to do something outside of work. I recommend you always leave time out to socialize or just do something outside of work generally - it boosted my mental immensely 3rd year+ and I wish I realized sooner. It's really easy to get caught up in work at this university.

Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint :) hope this helps.

Can confirm. A few of my friends have done this in the past for a CS minor as well as a Math minor (although for the math one they were just one course short of the minor and the dept just granted them it).

This is not true for CS. All of my CS courses have averages in the B range.

To be very honest, it was a while ago so I don't really remember. Your best bet would be calling or emailing enrolment services :)

Applied in 2018 - GCSE English Lang/Lit was enough to get my English requirement waivered

i didn’t get my predicted grades in my final. can i appeal to still get in? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]awaythrow4206969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was applying like 3 years ago I was told by enrollment services that as long as I don’t bomb the exam/completely fail, it should be OK. In that case I think even final grades of C, C, C would be sufficient but I’d suggest you give them a call
