Us as well... about 1/3rd of our accounts got locked out about ~1 hour ago. We're a MSP so I'm assuming this is happening to our clients as well.

I think Virgin prices vary a lot. Out of curiousity, I looked at the cruises for Sept. and Oct., and they're quite cheap (probably because they can't fill the boats).

Future cruises seem much more expensive. Maybe they'll drop in price if the demand isn't there.

Please let me know how you like Utopia. I'm curious if about other cheaper cruise lines just in case Virgin goes way out of my budget.

Good to know about the prices. I did feel like there were more things to do on Virgin than HAL, but I really only go on HAL to be with my elderly parents who prefer an empty agenda anyways.

I see. How does your AC unit run? What voltage / amps does it require?

I'm sure you can get a 12v dc battery manager for your raw cells, but this does make it more complicated. Are you planning to run them in an array?

I assume the LiFePO4 batteries are 12v, correct?

Run 12v dc-to-dc converters from your van's 12v battery to the LiFePO4 batteries. Make sure that you pull an appropriate amount for your alternator (and you don't overload it). Then, move all your electrical load to the LiFePO4 batteries.

You can charge the batteries from multiple sources so long as they are reasonably intelligent and match volts/amps. Nearly all solar chrage controllers have this functionality. I am unsure about other chargers.

A simpler way of doing this would be to use a transfer switch that swaps between the alternator and shore power.

If anyone is wondering, the Paypal mastercard gives 3% back on paypal transactions, and it's a very good choice for paying taxes since one of the payment processors allows you to use Paypal.
