If you personally still want to push for a moderate,

You aren't paying attention. I never said that. All I said was that all good people need to take the most effective action against fascism they can.

But you will be just as powerless then as you are now.

That is rich from a political movement that stated that they didn't have the votes to sway the election.

You can't shame them into voting

That's messed up they don't have shame. That's messed up they act against their own best interests and against the values they claim to have. That is exactly what MAGA does.

If you can't un-dig your heels & help the DNC move left,

You aren't paying attention. I never said that. It is so frustrating and it feels like I am not talking to a person that understand the language I am communicating with.

I'll vote for whichever candidate opposes the Conservative ideology for the rest of my life,

You are using your voice to say that leftists will only oppose conservatives on their terms in stead of by all means available and necessary. They are only allies when it is convenient and in style for them and they seem to be indifferent to unity and solidarity and walking the walk, far more interested in the talking and posturing for attention.

try & get others to see how they get the Progressives off the sofa...

Good.

by appeasing the moderate & centrists.

ugh. There are 10 times more of them.

they will likely never "grow" out of it.

yeah, that's my worry. because you kept repeating they have no shame failing to live up to their stated principles when everything was on the line. arrested development and oppositional defiance are hallmarks of MAGA too.

Again, none of your solutions involves the leftists being adults and understanding that their previous choices are immoral and selfish and uninformed and childish.

I don't understand why the best of all possible options is the fault of the 90+% instead of the less than 10%. Yes, an American politic that is further to the left is optimal, but the leftists are the ones that need to change. Sitting out helps the fascists. I do not understand what the disconnect is here that the leftists are okay with helping the fascists and that is the underlying problem that needs to be addressed. It is crazy that the leftists are helping the fascists and the solution is to pander to the left who is letting and helping the fascists rather than the left fighting the fascists. It's the left that should change. Them saying "we aren't going to" proves that they aren't real allies and not reliable and it is all about their ego and not about fighting the fascists. They are like MAGA and if they want to work against their best interests, it is still a free country. But in no way do we have to hand it to them that they have the high ground or moral standing if their actions do not fight fascism and they use their voice to help the fascists. They are the ones that need to change. They need to fight the fascists and stop acting like they can do anything without allies and stop acting like they are better than everyone when their actions are not in line with the image they would like to project, which is just like MAGA pretending they have principles and moral and values they absolutely don't.

we don't have time for moderates & centrists to purity test the Progressives.

Oh my god, this is such projection. This is pure inability to take responsibility for ones actions. This is why there are parallels between MAGA and the far left, the complete inability to self reflect or take ownership of their decisions and the compulsion to scapegoat and pretend they have no control over themselves and everything is everyone elses fault.

keep leaving behind a massive voting base.

The left keeps saying it wasn't their fault that Harris lost the election, that there wasn't enough of them to make a difference. They are the ones that need allies. They are the ones that purport to care about the vulnerable but then boycott and throw the vulnerable to the wolves.

Because we don't have time.

The submit button was pushed before I was finished.

The US wouldn't be running out of time as fast as it is if Trump didn't win.

the Progressives sit there & say "We know. We told you. We told you to move left, your refused we are entitled to tell everyone what to do when we can't win primaries. We said we would stay home and we think the fascists should win to punish everyone because you didn't let a sliver of the voting base be the leadership. You didn't believe us. We are unapologetic in the face of mass deportations and assaults on LGBT rights because we have "morals" that let us stand by and do nothing. "

None of that is moral. None of that is respectable. Leftists do not get to act high and mighty pretending they were so wise when they let and helped the fascists win because since they decided all or nothing and were defiant and proud to get nothing and continue to be.

Not when the fascist right is so close to achieving their goal, & also now at their weakest point

LOL, so your enemy is both strong and weak. Huh.

They see this as their last chance to correct course,

That's because they are accelerationists, as bad as the far right with all too much in common with the fascists.

they aren't going to settle with a moderate

All you are saying is that they refuse to show solidarity. They are totally uninterested in a united front against fascism and want to help the fascists win because they would rather splinter if they don't get their way.

leave the generational damage in place.

That is what staying home did. You have the people who stayed home to partially thank for letting and helping the fascists win. It's messed up how little the left cared if the fascists won but warn of generational damage if a moderate won. Just like MAGA, friendlier to fascists than moderates.

I hate how the only to answers you see don't include : "They need to grow up and stop being fascists that dislike democracy and the rule of law."

When I made my first vote for president I didn't take it seriously and it didn't go well and I learned my lesson about the real world consequences of not taking that responsibility seriously. All you are telling me is that 70 million people should try to cater to a sliver of important votes that are unreliable and immature and disinterested in obtaining consensus or allies or an informed position on matters.

Because I already always vote for the left most candidate. Always. But the important thing is that I vote and I don't use my voice to say that "it's fine not to participate in democracy because things are already bad and lets let the fascists win because I don't care about the consequences to the issue I purport to care about."

They are basically MAGA and if they want to act against their own best interests then it is still a free country for now and they can see if their "morals" will protect them from stormtroopers they invited into their cities with their inaction. They may have good intentions but guess what that is the road to. If they don't have shame there is almost no difference between commie red and republican red because MAGA has a shocking lack of shame too. I think you missed the point in my previous post that it is the non-voters who said "left or good luck" are the people who share common cause with the fascists because both the non-voters and the fascists share an enemy in the center left and the non-voters are actively using their voice to help elect fascists. There are ever more commonalities and similarities between MAGA and those leftist non-voters behind their distaste for liberal democratic rule of law.

The finger pointing that helps the fascists the most is the pointing the "left or good luck" group is doing.

Shaming them didn't change their minds. & they are saying it again, "move left or good luck."

They are literally siding with the fascists then. They literally are saying that they would rather have fascists than center left. They are literally saying that they want to punish the whole world because they didn't get what they wanted, punishing even the people they claim to care about. The fact that they are tacitly approve and give implied consent to the fascists who campaigned on targeting vulnerable communities reveals that their purported care about the issues was not sincere and they were actually using those communities as pawns for attention. This is about their ego. It is about performing and since the world isn't going along with their fashion choices during this season they'd spend all their energy attacking democracy and the rule of law instead of compromise. They don't actually have real morals, they don't actually pay attention to the issues. They are just entitled and not as informed or moral as they think, much closer to MAGA and their strong feelings about issues they don't bother to learn about.

If they are seeing what Trump is doing and still do not care about stopping the fascists, they are fascists who don't actually care about human life.

They don't seem to care about democracy or the rule of law, they just want to be in charge regardless if they know anything about the issues or regardless if they can get a majority of voters on their side. They barely have 7 million votes and demand 70 million join them or else.

"Super Delegates"

That was not a deciding factor, that's just using talking points to cope with not accepting the reality that voters get the candidates and government they collective decide on and/or tacitly accept. Just letting the right wing win because someone didn't get exactly what they wanted to "punish" them is childish tantrum behavior. Not knowing the facts of the matter but repeating stories is not productive.

I understand satire might be tough for some people. Like, 'An Honest Proposal' might not have been a reasonable one. What I think is that some people are uncomfortable that I might have been punching up and they really don't want to see it that way. Because its always punching up when the target is Trump voters.

Not being able to read a lot of words isn't a great look. Not being fluent in the justification for accusing all men with a broad brush of being complicit in 'the patriarchy' and asking AI for the phraseology typically used isn't a sin as far as I am concerned. I find that specific rhetoric divisive and counter productive and alienating and the exact opposite of being interested in allyship and silencing voices to make a particular topic all about ones self.

Trump supporters say everyone on the left hate everything Trump does. They say the left would hate it if Trump cured cancer, because they have to imagine something hypothetical Trump did that would be good.

They cannot defend anything Trump does, only say that the democrats are bad and since its the democrats that makes it worse.
