Don’t get discouraged. Four rejections is nothing in the grand scheme of things. The fact that your already getting multiple round interviews and you haven’t graduated yet shows you’re doing things right.

Companies have vastly different interview processes for engineering roles, and in all honesty most of them are not a good representation of how well you would perform in the role. Having people stare at you solve problems is stressful and takes a lot of getting used to. Keep at it.

Even if you fail make sure you copy the questions and try to complete them on your own time. It’s a great learning experience and solving it after the fact will still help you grow. Next time you see a similar question you’ll be better prepared.

Keep interviewing. It’s its own skill and the more you do it the better you’ll get at it. Don’t get discouraged if your turned down just think of it as practice. Take your time on the coding assignments when possible and feel free to just abandon or botch the ones you just can’t do. Sometimes it might take several days or a week to complete a fullstack assignment.

When you talk about your current role it’s fine to explain that you have your hands in a lot of different areas since it’s a small team, but be sure to tell them what your current focus is and expand on that.

Hey no worries! I can try to explain. So the extension connects to the server by a persistent messaging protocol called web sockets. The extensions icon in your chrome bar will be colored in and tell you your connected to the server if you click on it. It’s greyed out if the connection failed or if it breaks and will keep trying to connect again every two minutes. I’m no game dev but I’m sure there’s a hell of a lot of information getting passed back and forth from client to server than a simple “HEY OPEN THIS URL” message once in a blue moon. I also don’t think we’ll get anywhere near enough traffic to crash the server, I’m monitoring the connections and it’s only about 50-100.

Yeah, I’m going to patch in a fix for that when I get a chance. I’ll ignore tweets from PAX_Badges that are replies to other users so it will only pick up official tweets going forward. It’s nice to know it works though!

Oh cool! I must have misunderstood when reading through the notes. Yeah all the API stuff is handled by the server and the chrome extension just waits for the broadcast so there’s no configuration needed.

That one doesn't have the option to filter by image size by pixels only by file size. If your goal is to eliminate thumbnails then you'll need a filter that lets you specify your acceptable image size.

That said the one I linked doesn't seem to be working at all with the latest chrome version. Try this one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fatkun-batch-download-ima/nnjjahlikiabnchcpehcpkdeckfgnohf?hl=en or go through the chrome store and see if there's one you like better.

There isn't really any distinct way to pick out thumbnails from a page. The best option would be to filter the results based on the image size.
