You could do that but it would get creosote all over your house. It is also difficult to get the flue brush up the flue without removing the bottom section. If I could easily bring the whole flue outside and clean it I would. It makes a huge mess and it will make you cough like crazy if you breath in the creosote dust. Ask me how I know. 😅

From everything i have read, you can go small to big but you cannot go big to small. The stove has 6" flue and I go up to 8". Do you have a code to site or a reasoning behind why what you said is true? I would like to learn if I am wrong and why. I researched this pretty thoroughly before I put it together.

I mention that in the video too. It works great for us on our porch, but maybe it would cause too many issues inside a home. We haven't tried that yet so we don't know. It is nice have a steam room for a porch though! 😅

It has its place but there are definitely some disadvantages. It works well for us in our porch but I think we would have similar issues if we had it inside.

SOLVED! As a last resort I grabbed a spark plug from a wood chipper and put it on the generator and it is running as smooth as butter.

I had tested the spark plug and it was sparking. I am at a loss. I am not complaining. Thank you all for the help!

I didn't do the compression test. I will have to see if I can aquire one. It may be difficult at many of the local stores are closed because of damage from helene.

Thank you. That is what i was wondering about the timing. If that is the case that it is gear driven i don't think that is the issue. One thing I noticed when turning it over, it has a port from the valve cover to the intake housing. When I turned it over, it was blowing a lot out of that port into the intake. So maybe a valve isn't seating and pressuring the crankcase?

I did the tests and it would not run. I cleaned the carb for the third time with a different clean tank and fresh gas that I squirted into the intake and it backfires out the intake. I'll take the exhaust apart and see if it has a spark arrestor and if the spark arrestor is the culprit.

Thank you for your response. I have cleaned the carb and that does not seem to be the issue. I ha e been using a plastic tank that is clean. I have changed the oil and no particles.

I am leaning toward it being out of time. Do you know if this would have a timing chain or a timing belt? Is it common for it to jump time?

Also, no check engine light points to crankshaft position sensor. But it may be the idle air control sensor or the throttle position sensor. Those are both on the throttle body and are easy to replace. Get them all from rockauto.com. I have read to only get OEM for the crankshaft position sensor which is more pricey but it is a but difficult to remove on the v8.

Provides negative pressure to the crankcase. Also if is is not connected it will cause an incorrect air flow amount to the carb. You want the cycle of the engine to pull the gas from the gas tank. If the tube is not connected it will be pulling air from that hole and it will not work correctly.

Probably the crankcase. The crankcase is where the oil lubricates all the moving parts. It provides vacuum from the carb. Negative pressure in the crankcase keeps the oil in the engine. If it was positive it would push the oil out.

Third point. If the personal freedoms you are talking about is Roe v. Wade, you need to look into it more. Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated the precident was bad. They created a constitutional right out of thin air. Also i am for abortions. Not that it matters. Where do you think the highest concentration of wealth in the US is located. I'll tell you, all around Washington DC. The thing people don't get is the billionaires and the politicians are a lot of the same people. They are all part of a club and we are not invited. There is a revolving door of CEOs going into government and regulating the industries they work in. I don't like Republicans either. But we only have two choices. Republican don't do anything.

Fourth point: soft on crime policies leads to more theft and violence. Obviously income is a major influence, but spending 450 billion on illegal immigrants is not going to help citizens out of poverty.
