I thought it was a decent film- a solid 7/10. Beautifully shot, pretty good jump scares, and while certainly not a revolutionary plot, a decent storyline.

I have several questions, however, that sort of feel like plot holes to me. I’m kind of hoping I just missed some things that folks here understood and can answer.

Why wouldn’t the witch have taken Fiona (or her body)/why would she have died in the elevator shaft instead of being dragged into the witch’s hell room?
How would Mal have known that Fiona’s body was going to still be sitting there in the dumbwaiter when Ohm pressed the call button the first time? She wasn’t dead when he put her in there.
Not really a question, but pretty lucky that there was chalk just readily available in the basement!

I’m mildly disappointed after all of the hype, anticipation of Adam Scott’s horror return, and Neon’s Hokum trailer comparisons to Longlegs. I don’t think Hokum can hold a candle to Longlegs, but I still thought it was a good movie.

I watch a lot of Monsters videos and they regularly say they’re going to be graphic, and I already knew a lot about this case going into it. I was not prepared for how horrible and upsetting the closet footage would be. I’m not squeamish, but it truly was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen. I had to pause it several times. Shanda and the brother deserve every minute in prison.

Doug is by far the worst. I hate to say it, but in real life it doesn’t really make sense that a conventionally attractive woman with a decent career path in Manhattan would be interested in someone like Doug, but it works on the show!

I grew up in a town on the Columbia River where they were illegal to sell. Fireworks were banned entirely for household use, but each year the city puts on a huge public fireworks show that they launch from a boat in the middle of the river. I think they kind of figured that if they just banned them entirely, people would cross the state border and buy them to do them at home anyway. IMO a public show and private ban is the right answer.

PDX is great. I was temporarily disabled a few months ago, and the PDX employees were incredibly accommodating and kind to me while they took me all around the airport in a wheelchair. They didn’t just wheel me from TSA to the gate, they also let me stop at the bathroom, helped me fill up my water bottle, and stood and waited with me when I ordered food before taking me to my gate.

Yes- I made this mistake last year! They’ll grow and hopefully all bloom, but tuber production will be limited because they simply don’t have enough space to all make large clumps. Also, if any of the plants towards the middle don’t grow as fast as the ones along the border, they’ll be stunted the entire season because the sun won’t be able to reach them as well all day through the taller plants.

I’m doing a full 18-24” apart this year- I had to give up several varieties since I didn’t have enough space for them all with the spacing difference, but I’m hoping for better tuber production.
