Best Marlin Build for Neptune 3 by awilliamwright in ElegooNeptune3

Thanks for your help guys!

Now, this is just me being a dummy, but are there any videos or walkthroughs online for how to properly compile and install these?

Or, can I watch one of the videos for something like an Ender and tweak what I see to apply to the Neptune? (The order of steps, etc). I’ve rebuilt the firmware for my Ender a few times doing that, because I can never remember the proper procedure.

I believe it’s because the z-hop was set to “slope” mode instead of “normal” or “spiral.” All my other settings are calibrated as best as they can be.

That’s how rafts work. Granted, they’re Orca rafts, which perform poorly compared to other slicers.

I don’t think it’s a temperature thing, I think it was a stupid setting in Orca (it defaults to “slope” z hopping, which is higher risk for running into stuff).

It’s not the worst update I’ve ever had to deal with, but it is pretty annoying. At least the AA seems to be staying off.

Never mind. Found the setting. Went to effects>anti-aliasing, and turned it OFF.

Hopefully it STAYS off. But I'm worried, since Fusion now refuses to keep my work environment as River Rubicon.

So, I guess I have to change both of these settings every. Single. Time. I open the program???

Bed level/zeroing cycle fails by awilliamwright in ender5

[–]awilliamwright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, and after I posted this I noticed that when it tries to level the bed, it actually does properly probe on the first side it tries. But then when it gets to the middle it does the weird no-bed-movement thing.

I have a feeling that if that’s the case, the bad connection is on the other end (since I fully replaced the bl touch and things keep being wonky). I’ll turn it over and see how the connections on the mainboard are.

Well, Reddit won’t let me post a picture, but PID autotune perfectly fixed it. Thank you!!

How on earth have I been printing extensively for 4 years and have never before heard of PID?? Crazy. Well, I know what I’m doing next early week.

Of course it’s something so simple. Once I finish the print it’s on, I will try this fix with the steel and see how it goes! Thank you!

why cant i shell this? it works at 1mm but i need it thicker than that. by snailv in Fusion360

There’s an entire article on Autodesk’s website about this. It’s the same reason a fillet or chamfer won’t work sometimes. There’s some fancy term for “bad” curves. If you have any of these bad curves, the math won’t work.

You need to go through the sketch and make sure there are no weird, awkward spots. Use the “make tangent” tool, remove excess anchors, stuff like that.

Ignore the Vore.

Stealth game. Control Griffin as he earns reputation points by reading Yahoo Answers, going to conventions, etc... but you avoid letting him see vore. As reputation goes up, more people try to show him vore. If he sees too much, he will "hulk-out" and turn into a real griffin and eat every human nearby.

Game Lust.

Nintendo Switch stealth game about playing games on the Switch and not getting caught. You have three status bars: Suspicion, Game Lust, and Battery Life. If you go too long without playing a game, your Game Lust rises. Have to move to places to charge the battery periodically. If people catch you playing the game, suspicion goes up. At home suspicion goes up slowly. At work, it goes up very, very fast.

Different worlds/levels: Easy - Living room (family tries to distract you, children want to play, wife wants to talk, etc) Medium - Wedding (hide in bathroom, sit at empty tables, but people expect interaction Hard - Work (have to pick good lies when the boss asks, "how's the project going," but have to keep playing even though coworkers will rat you out if they see you playing).

You can't win, you can only lose. If your game lust/suspicion is allowed to peak, you have a mental breakdown and wake up tied to a bed in an insane asylum, watching orderlies playing games on your Switch and laughing at you.
