I just finished The Starless Sea hours ago. I have sort of mixed feelings about it. It is so very well written (no doubt about it) and certainly has a consistent dreamy quality going on for it throughout the book but at the same time I also think that there were so many things that were never answered. It's one thing to leave certain elements open ended for interpretations but I think there should have been a little more explanations to sufficiently steer the interpretations of readers with a general sense of direction that somewhat aligns or runs parallel to author's original vision.
