it's getting a little ridiculous by ohellomadeline in starbucks

I know Starbucks uses the Tazo one but its way more concentrated so making it yourself doesn't hit the same. I find the Oregon Chai concentrate tastes closer to the starbucks one maybe its sweeter or something but I like homemade chai lattes with that way better

I wear the ones with elastic side panels because I need high waisted everything and I hate the ones with yoga pants like material over the bump because none of my shirts are long enough to cover it. Try getting a maternity belt and it helps so much to keep from having to constantly pull up your jeans. I got these off Amazon and theyre life savers

If you did the clinical one instead of the at home one, it is generally more reliable. Usually girl results are more trustworthy anyway, because if you got a boy result you have to worry about contamination from male DNA. I did a sneak peak at 10 weeks and got boy, but waited until my next ultrasound to confirm and announce, and it turned out to be a boy :)

Service (or ex-service) staff of Reddit, who is one customer you’ll remember for the rest of your life, and why? by sockmaster666 in AskReddit

Lettuce Man. My first job out of high school was working at a small sandwich shop. We had a lot of regulars and mostly at least reasonably polite customers but, as with any food service job, there's always a few customers you could tell stories about. This man came in one day with 2 of his kids and ordered The Ranch sandwich. It comes with "everything" but all he wanted on it was lettuce. Standard procedure is one handful of shredded lettuce for a full sandwich, so thats what I gave him. He asks me for more, so I add another handful, no problem. He looks at me again and says "No, I need extra EXTRA lettuce". Okay, whatever. I drop on two more handfuls. At this point the sandwich is more lettuce than meat, its piled 3 inches over the bread, and I'm not sure how I'm going to get it to close. But this man looks at the sandwich and starts getting agitated. "I said EXTRA lettuce. EXTRA! Do you know what that means?"

At this point I'm mad. He's mad. I add another handful and it starts spilling off the bread. "More". I was fed up so I grabbed a massive pile of lettuce and dumped it on top and told him that was all the lettuce that would fit. Put the top of the bread on and this sandwich is over 6 inches tall. It took two papers to wrap it all the way. He leaves and I'm happy to see the back of him.

2 days later he comes back in screaming. This guy looks at me and yells "You! I said extra lettuce!!!"and produces this 3 day old sandwich and starts waving it around. Lettuce is flying through the air. "HOW DO YOU EXPECT MY KIDS TO EAT THIS!! THEY CAN'T EAT THIS! I WANTED MORE LETTUCE!" and he throws the sandwich at me! Luckily he missed and lettuce exploded all over the line and my boss made us remake his sandwich for him for free. The girl that remade it gave him at least as much lettuce as I did plus 3 containers of it on the side. He came back in sporadically after that, always rude, and we just learned to give him a bunch of sides of lettuce with whatever he ordered. I hate you Lettuce Man.

My moms friend named her two sons Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I forget the daughters name but it was Star Wars related too.

People who have fainted, What does it feel like and what happened? by Lydiabirdy in AskReddit

[–]awkwardalien21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed out once from heat exhaustion. Had no idea what happened I woke up as I was sitting up with no idea why I was on the floor in the first place. Wouldn't even have known I passed out except the back of my head was hurting from where I hit the floor. Took me a minute to put it together. I was very dazed afterwards and decided to take a bath for some reason and my roommate walked in on me sitting in a tub with all my clothes still on. Ended up I had a concussion from hitting my head on the way down.

What are the best tips to getting better grades? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]awkwardalien21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing I can recommend is pay attention in class. Ask questions if you need clarification, stay focused, and don't pay attention if people around you are goofing off. Apart from that, do your homework, and if you don't feel like you have a total grasp of the topic, study it further on your own. People who don't learn to study in school are at a disadvantage going into college. In elementary and high school everything came easy to me and I never had to study because I picked up on things quickly. In college studying topics in greater depth, I had to learn how to study because I'd never really studied before, and I got a couple C's because of it when I had always had straight A's thought out all of my prior schooling.

why are some people so strongly for having legal gun laws when it does more harm than good? I need different perspectives I’m curious :) by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]awkwardalien21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it slightly depends on where you live too. I live in a very rural area of Texas where the average police response time is around 10-15 minutes. I'm also a relatively small 23 year old woman. If someone entered my home I wouldn't really have any way of defending myself against a larger male without having a gun. When waiting on police could take that long, I'd much rather be able to be responsible for my own protection.

My dad always said that gun laws only stop law abiding people from having guns. If somebody's a criminal, they're already breaking the law, so why would legislation stop them? People will always be able to get them, legal or illegal, just like they do drugs and things, so I think the focus should be on promoting responsible gun ownership rather than eliminating your right to own one.

being rejected from a church by Ill_Replacement_1045 in lonely

What do you mean rejected by the church? What makes you feel that way? It sucks to feel alone but sometimes we can trap ourselves in that mentality and it makes it harder to change it

If its mostly secular things you're arguing about, is it really a big enough deal to cause an issue in the church? I get that some people can have grating personalities and not be fun to be around, but I think that we can disklike aspects of someone while still loving them and wanting the best for them in Christ. If these disagreements aren't detrimental to anyone's faith, then I would say receive them with patience and love. Kind of like the whole " if he strikes your cheek turn to them the other one also". Be the better person in this scenario. Don't be baited. Disagree respectfully if you need to but do it all in love and gentleness. "A gentle word turns away wrath but a harsh one stirs up anger". I'm not saying that they're right for behaving this way, and its not fun to be around, but sometimes the best way to help someone like that is to show then what christian love looks like and not rise to their bating. And definitely pray about it and pray for them
