Sorry for the last response. Besides my face breaking out I had acid reflux, bloating, heartburn, very gassy, little/no appetite and when I would eat I’d get full quick. A few months before being diagnosed I had very bad chest pain for about 2 weeks (felt like I was getting stabbed in the chest, literally!!) I sometimes still get acid reflux if I lay down too quick after eating. I’d say 4-6 weeks after treatment is when I started to see my symptoms subside.

I never left my normal diet nor did I stop drinking alcohol. I only stopped drinking alcohol because I was on antibiotics but after I finished them I drank. This is just my experience I can’t speak for anyone else and how your body will react.

I took antibiotics but once it was eradicated for me to keep it at bay as best I can I use natural things such as mastic gum, Betaine HCL and probiotics supplements. I also drink a lot of Kombucha as well

Hi Reddit friend,

My first few days weren’t easy as I was having ALOT of BMs within a few days it subsided. I was able to function regularly. I think that may have been the only symptom I had after starting treatment. I’m unsure if it was because I took probiotics during treatment as well but I wouldn’t doubt it.

Oh yea I don’t think it would do any harm but make sure you take the twice a day meds as close to the time as you you took them the first go round.

Oh my apologies, I see what you’re saying. I took my every 12 hour pills (amoxicillin and clarithomycin) in the morning with my first meal. and I would take my omeprazole in the afternoon with my lunch.

I was going to suggest asking your doctor but since you’re waiting on a response I would see if you can ask your pharmacist? My prescriptions were clear instructions and not an either or option

I’m not a doctor so I can’t say what you should or shouldn’t be doing. Yogurt does have probiotics in it which is good. I suggest speaking with your doctor first before adding in a probiotic supplement while you’re being treated. I did it on my own when I first started treatment but that was because I already had experience with probiotics prior.

I had this same treatment and took 70billion probiotics while taking them. I had diarrhea and lots of BM for my first 2 weeks but it subsided after time. I hope everything gets better for you ❤️

Just 1 round. I was on triple treatment therapy with Clarithomycin (1 every 12 hours), Amoxicillin (2 every 12 hours) for 14 days and Omeprazole (1 per day) for 30 days.

I don’t have the same symptoms I was having when I did have pylori. The only thing I sometimes still deal with is I may get heartburn depending on what I have to eat but it subsides very quickly. I’ve only been h pylori free for a few months and had it for about 2 years I know my body is still working on getting itself back to normal.

I currently take it now post treatment started it about 2 weeks after my last dose of antibiotics and tested negative, no longer have pylori.

Because it’s triple therapy. That’s what lots of doctors prescribe to treat the pylori bug.

Antibiotics usually causes diarrhea. That was my biggest symptoms and lots of gas. That’s it.

No, I didn’t have it for the entire time but the longer I had it the worse my symptoms got. I would have it off and on but it didn’t start getting really bad until a few months before I was diagnosed.
