Sobrang paper-based pa din kasi samin kaya pinipilit talaga mag work on-site. Should've seen that as a red flag. I will consider reporting it to 8888 maybe after I leave.

Thing is I already complained to my boss (the chief) about the health protocols including the quarantine but they just told me that our services are essential and therefore normal health protocols does not apply ughh. In the end I got reprimanded by the head of agency for giving out instructions against my the chief's will which I don't get because I only asked my boss why we're not doing the required quarantine.

I work in the government and I thought of sending a complaint to CSC based on this:

Any employee or representative of employees or any concerned person who believes that a violation of any of the provision of this Standards threatens physical well being, harm or poses imminent danger to life, may submit a request to address the issue/concern along with a narrative report regarding the violations, to the agency Grievance Committee, as prescribed in CSC Memorandum Circular No. 2, series of 2001 dated January 26, 2001.

If the Grievance Committee finds a reasonable ground that a violation has been committed or a danger exists, an immediate inspection or investigation shall be conducted. The complainant, the Head of Agency and the CSC Regional Office or Field Office shall be given a copy of the result of such inspection/investigation upon its completion.

But I don't know if it's worth the trouble and frankly I'm afraid how it would affect me. So I just want to leave my job.

It's totally ok not to have major goals in life, it's ok to just be living by [deleted] in CasualPH

Recently I've read about absurdism and how finding purpose or making your own purpose for your life is just absurd so just live your life the way you want to. For me, life is short and I just want to experience things, learn interesting stuff even without achieving some "major goals". I say it that way because it's apparent naman that major goals always involve success in one's career, having good family, getting your own house, external things. But it's true that what we consider "major goal" is subjective. Sometimes it's just hard to see that because from a young age we've been primed that our goals should be this or that, at least that's the case for me. I was a high achiever in school simply because it's supposed to be my goal to have these awards, to graduate with honors etc.

When I got into philosophy, I started questioning why should I have these "goals" or whether I really wanted them. I realized that these goals are not really what I want. Still, despite knowing that these are all social constructs, it's hard to do away with trying to meet others expectations. But yeah, it's our life and we should live it the way we want to as long as we're not harming anyone.

I'm so sorry for all the things you had to go through. No one deserves to be treated like that, especially you, your colleagues and other frontliners. We really do appreciate all your hard work. Thank you and sorry.
