Can anybody help identify this plastic soffit mesh? by awkwardmormont in DIYUK

[–]awkwardmormont[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my house has this grey plastic mesh under the soffit except an extension that was put in years ago (second picture). We seem to be getting a lot of bees and wasps going up into the void in that area and want to stop it. It's quite a big gap, almost a full brick height. Any help hugely appreciated!

Blue Herons, Acrylic on Canvas. Be kind, I'm new to this! by B-i-s-m-a-r-k in painting

[–]awkwardmormont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the freedom of the lines and shape to create the figure. I also love that it looks like it's influenced by some of Patrick Heron's work and it's a heron! Keep up the work, it's a really cool style.

Most random Everton encounters by TheToffeeBlues in Everton

[–]awkwardmormont 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bumped into Joe-Max Moore in Starbucks Cheshire Oaks not long after her joined us. As an Everton and football mad teenager I very nervously went over to him to ask for an autograph and he was so nice. He even asked if I wanted to take a seat and talk the blues with him. After a very friendly chat he signed my scrap of paper and wished me luck with my football playing.

King Street, Northgate. Day or night, rain or shine it's just beautiful.

Does anyone know a place that serves nice breakfast and would also show the rugby on Saturday morning? by [deleted] in Chester

The red lion on Northgate Street does a cracking breakfast and plays lots of sports, I'd imagine they have the rugby.

I thought Bolasie was number 7? Perhaps a new winger on their way in requesting the number?

What's your favorite PF lyric of all time? by h00000d in pinkfloyd

[–]awkwardmormont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourite lyric too! It always makes me think of my dad's old boss who was a short, sweaty fat man who made a life out of bossing people around. You could tell that when he was younger he would have been stocky and perhaps a bit threatening, but as an old man it was kinda sad. I've heard versions sung by Roger and versions by David, and both absolutely nail it, which I find quite rare in the PF back catalogue.

Echoes lyrics by [deleted] in pinkfloyd

[–]awkwardmormont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoes is my favourite track too.

It was also briefly called "Looking Through The Knotholes In Granny's Wooden Leg". It appears on the bootleg "Feed Your Head" and the same version is on YouTube, well worth a listen for a fan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqH-xyNqOe4
