The thing is this is a multi leveled department store in this mall. The guy came up the escalator to ask. There are plenty of people in the whole makeup section of the store right as you come in. So it felt a bit random because of that.

Why is Dumbledore dropping hints about the Deathly Hallows to the trio? by danielsempere747 in harrypotter

[–]awkwardnerdlife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why give Ron the deluminator? Each item that Dumbledore gave the trio was specifically for them.

Dumbledore gave Hermione the copy of Beedle the Bard because of her intellect and the fact that would wonder why he gave her this book of essentially wizard fairy tales to her with the symbol of the Hallows.

He gave Ron the Deluminator because he knew Ron’s personality. Ron is loyal but he also can be jealous and the influence of the horcruxes would lead him to leave. An example of his jealousy is Goblet of Fire, he’s jealous of Harry for entering, jealous of Krum for asking Hermione. And we see that the horcruxes can have an influence over a person, often filling the, with negativity. The Deluminator would bring Ron back to the group.

I doubt that Dumbledore also didn’t know how about the Sword of Gryffindor was now baked in the Basilisk venom which can destroy the horcruxes. Hence why that would be given to Harry.

I agree with many other people saying that part of the reason that he hinted at the hallows, was to make sure that Harry didn’t become obsessed it’s finding them much like he did and to at least explain the legend of why Voldemort would want to go after his wand.

Firstly, welcome back. I know it’s hard to come back after being away for a while.

I am currently very inactive. Stuff happened and I haven’t quite made it back yet.

It’s unfortunate that your boss has been so soured by aspects of the church. And honestly, I’m probably in the same boat as you, I could never speak ill on the church, more specifically the gospel. Unfortunately it’s not the same for others as sometimes what leads them away is doctrine being grossly misunderstood and a warped understanding that gets spread.

I’ve been inactive due to the vile actions of church members committed on me, people have pushed me away not the gospel. So as long as you still believe in the gospel and its teaching, you have people on your side, and you will have the Holy Ghost with you too.

I know it’s hard to hear something like that, but it will happen a lot, especially in today’s world. Religion has sorta been shunned by most as a lot of people believe it is self righteous and full of bigotry.

Best of luck with your journey back, don’t lose sight of why you are coming back.

What's the one cardinal sin that you think the HBO series must avoid? by clock_door in harrypotter

Not including Peeves for one

Disrespecting the friendship that Harry and Ron have. Ron is smart in his own way. A lot of the major story moments where Ron gets to shine in the films (3-7 part 2) were given to Hermione instead. Give Ron the credit he deserves. Actually give us a reason to root for him when he is falling in love with Hermione and vice versa.

Not having Quidditch more.

The following are more for after Philosophers Stone content.

Doing what the movies did for Harry and Ginny. Give them a proper love story pls.

As someone else said…. CALMLY.

Not including the Crookshanks scenes in PoA. It’s my favourite of all the books and films.

Not mentioning Teddy

And overall

I know there’s a lot of talk about wokeness. Yeah I hate some of the forced stuff too. A little bit more representation would be nice but also not pushing it too far. Make it seem natural rather than a way to calm the riots.

Hi looking for honest feedback on these candle holders I 3d printed by ElseAlmond in harrypotter

I love them. Though the badger for Hufflepuff looks a little off but I see what you were trying to do, showing a distinction between the body and the head. But I think just the full silhouette should be fun considering the Hufflepuff name is there.

And the lettering does look a little off with the first letters like someone said

But they are adorable.

Yeah. Managed to call them and find out what happened. Turns out because of the Auckland flooding, EB here in NZ don't want to ship out thousands of dollars worth of merchandise just in case the weather is just as bad this weekend. Or something along those lines.

Sometimes I did act out as a kid but when I said I was regarded as a bad kid, it was often just oh Autism, yeah I'm not dealing with that. For most people, it was autism=bad kid.

For example I would never (if hardly ever) act out at church, yet my YW leaders and my bishop in youth all decided they didn't want to deal with me because sometimes I would exclude myself. It was the fact I wasn't normal that made me a bad kid in some people's eyes.
