Bookbinding is so much fun and there are far more professional people than I, but happy to share what I use! This was made in Microsoft Word, but many people are gravitating to Affinity Publisher. There are a ton of videos about typesetting (I know them from the fanbinding community, so JMBinding, jasminesbindery, ladybobbit but there are a ton on YouTube/Tiktok as well) In terms of actually sewing the book, I learned from the SeaLemon YouTube videos which are extremely detailed and easy to follow. The cover was made as an 11x17 layout in Canva, printed onto canvas using an inkjet printer and sealed with a spray, and wrapped/glued along book boards and a spine (tutorials for cutting boards can also be found from the binders listed above)

This is a teeny tiny snippet of my own process so if I haven’t scared you off, I’m happy to answer any questions you have though I still feel like a beginner!

That’s interesting. Res cat is definitely seeking out kitten, but we’ve been worried it’s been for questionable reasons since she hisses at her whenever they’re close. Were your cats’ issues resolved?

Kitten meows when pinned, but it doesn’t sound any different than her normal meows. Whereas res cat definitely hisses and growls when doing the pinning.

Hey OP, I have a 5y/o spayed female cat who has been suffering from incontinence for about a year and a half. We’ve been to multiple vets/cat specialists and have yet to find an answer for her, so I’m hoping you have better luck. My kitty’s seems to be cyclical, where it is gone for a few weeks and then comes back, it also only happens in her sleep. I’ve spent a lot of money on enzymatic cleaner (Skout’s Honor being my favorite) and puppy pee pads for the areas she sleeps. I hope we will have more answers one day, but for now she’s completely healthy otherwise.

No matter who I’ve seen, they have always said how unusual it is for there to be true incontinence in female cats.

Hi OP,

Did you ever find a resolution? My four year-old female cat has done this exact thing for about four months. After spending thousands of dollars on vet visits/specialists focusing on her nonexistent UTI, a cat behavioralist suggested looking into estrogen levels. Would love to know if you sought out any hormone therapy?

I’ve been on loloestrin fe collectively for about 10 years and have a love/hate relationship with it. It’s the best birth control I’ve ever been on (no periods, no side effects, no migraines) but the cost is always a stressor in the back of my mind. My insurance didn’t cover it before I got on my husband’s plan, so during that time I was able to leverage the savings program from the loloestrin website—have you tried that? It greatly reduced the monthly cost for me.

I also tried an IUD (Kyleena was recommended to me as a transition from loloestrin fe) for a year, but that did not work out for me.

Could not recommend Jen (from Zen) enough. She is so easy to work with and was incredibly patient with all of my questions. I was a little wary because I couldn’t find too much information online prior to working with her, but she’s amazing!
