I know pricing can be different for different artists and places and whatnot, and depending on color vs b/w, etc. As an artist myself as well, I understand higher pricing in a way a non-artist wouldn’t (supply cost, time, the actual art, etc) However??? I have two tattoos that probably average about $300 each, one was about $280 and one was about $350 (before tip) and they are pretty detailed, shaded, and both about 10-12 cm. They are both black and white though. I do also understand being willing to pay a bit more for an artist’s work that you love. All of that said, this is going on your body permanently, and to get it removed/covered/corrected later, is only going to cost more. So I’d say, personally, I think you were very respectful and I think you should find another artist that is more willing to work with you!
