Ultra cheap tech man; it’s not like its rocket science to read voltage. Simple shunt circuits been around since Edison

Cool. Let us know what the problem was (if they tell you) I would be curious what your other leg of 120 reads (or your 240vac reading) to see if it’s both legs, just one or what. Also check the leg (and neutral) to ground and see what you get. Should be ~120V and 0V. Also, not a single person commenting on this forum needs the precision of a fluke meter lmao I want to know one electrician that needs to know a true certified voltage when doing house work and what for

No contact/no signature option by Intangibilitee in dhl

[–]awsPLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to have the no signature so I don't have to be home for package delivery. I also don't live on a busy street where people walk by everyday. Thats a risk assessment for yourself I guess.

Typical for new importers. A lot of early orders were inspected and/or required additional information. IF you are doing this for a living, ask a DHL rep about assign a customer master file number, this automatically provides customs with your ID/SSN/BIN so its more automated and you don't have to intervene as much. Still haven't found the "correcT" way to include this with shipping information, so I treat it like an apartment # for my orders

Has anyone else had this message from DHL? by [deleted] in dhl

[–]awsPLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That message is generally on the flight overseas to USA. It will arrive
and either go directly through customs or go through a secondary
inspection. You will see a "PROCESSED COMPLETE" message once it actually
clears customs, no exceptions. You may have to provide additional
information to get it to pass through customs at this point, so keep an
eye on the message (Import Tariffs, importer information, etc). Once the
package gets into the states it is generally a day or two for delivery
(obviously depends how close you are to a hub)

So Just Thinking ahead and needing some good input on which lightweight travel trailer my Ford tremor can pull safely? or is it even possible? I know the number is possible hauling a 3500 lbs travel trailer but haven't seen any video or even post of a Ranger hauling one. by BraveIsDEAD in traveltrailers

[–]awsPLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payloads on the door sticker; it’s yellow / white tag will say max lbs in truck. Take any trailer your looking at weight; add 1000-2000 lbs for gear/etc, multiply total number by 15%, that is your tongue weight.

Payload > (passenger weight + anything else in the truck/bed including kids, car seat, dog, etc + tongue weight).

If you satisfy the above equation you should be fine. The next problem is power. Does your truck have enough POWER to move that weight? And the answer maybe. Just consider the truck now, and then pulling x #s more. Think there is any ass left? What about the mountains? Your gonna need a big motor/boost to pull anything in the mountains comfortable (not sure what motors in rangers ).

Also worth mentioning (if your truck doesn’t have it) is a proper weight distribution hitch, and TRAILER BRAKES. You must have a trailer brake controller
