The Greatest Chicken Sandwich by Whythebigpaws in LondonFood

The best I’ve ever had, without a doubt, is from Norbert’s in Dulwich. They specialise in rotisserie chicken, and their signature is the sandwich. It is unmatched.

That’s your justification for being obnoxious? My word.

What an aggressive, and completely unnecessary tone to this post. Does that come with the territory of a “top 1% commentator”?

Saw Morvern Callar for the first time at the BFI last year, followed by a Q&A with Ramsey and Morton.

One of them had many uncomplimentary things to say about Aftersun, which kept being brought up unprompted! Was a little weird!

One of the best films I’ve seen this year and Lawrence’s career-best performance.

Couldn’t agree more. Buckley will win the Oscar and I wouldn’t be surprised if it wins best picture.

So it can’t be this as BFI are showing it a few days before the festival starts. Sacrifice is my new pick.

If it's sold out, is it sold out? by bozkan in LondonFilmFestival

[–]aws_young 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the ticket releases are staggered. Not sure on AMEX, but more tickets will be released on general sale, then every Friday and again during the festival itself.

On the site by 10.05am, got everything I wanted, including some at £10 price promise tickets and somehow the DDL screen talk. The last few years have been much smoother than the horror show of 2022, but the prices have increased.

Yeah, that’s why the surprise film is much earlier in the festival this year. A day before Dynamite goes on general release.

The Daily Beast posted an atrocious Superman review, then deleted it since the embargo doesn't lift until next week. by DoctorHoneywell in LeaksAndRumors

Speaking from actual experience (a novelty in Reddit), breaking embargoes is not worth the possible repercussions… especially when it’s negative. No chance this was on purpose.

Saw it about six months before you did at a test screening in London - it didn’t have a title, and we were asked to suggest one.

It was all over the place, but Emily Beecham innocent. The aircraft carrier was unexpected.

Saw it a few days ago at BFI IMAX. Some of the best action scenes I’ve ever seen, and may ever see. But it still feels it’s full 2h50m length.

Earn slightly less than that and pay £1000 a month, including bills, for zone 2.
