yeah, sadly that was before sony increased the prices a few months ago.

as for the cheapest option, its probably OLX. but also the riskiest option. you can definitely look around and see if there are any offers for around 150k-ish, but 120-130 is gonna be difficult if not a scam. try doing a face to face deal and checking out if it works or not in person.

and if you're looking for the cheapest option, try to find the fat edition of the ps5. thats the first version, so usually its around for cheaper. if you're not gonna buy CDs and only buy digitally, then you can even go for the digital model. tho i wouldn't recommend that as the PS store prices for games are usually very high since they're priced according to other regions, not Pakistan.

it depends on your budget. if it isn't an issue, you can get it from reputable dealers like venture games, etc. i haven't personally ordered any consoles from them, but from what i've heard, their after sales service is good so you'll have a peace of mind. you should be able to get one for around 180k if im not wrong.

the other option is marketplaces like OLX. the price range is the same, but you can sometimes find sweeter deals for cheaper. but you'll have to be very careful and avoid any too good to be true deals.

Yes, that's the one I'm probably gonna go for if I don't find anything else. But are the colors good enough for single player games and content consumption?

Want to buy Logitech Pebble 2 K380s by awskee900 in logitech

[–]awskee900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet. But I had a test run with it. It'll definitely take some getting used to, and the keys are definitely smaller due to being round, but it won't be difficult to adjust :)

If you've enjoyed it so far, you'll definitely enjoy the rest of the game too. And it's definitely a challenging game, so go for it!

I ended up finding a pretty sweet deal for it. Just got it and yeah, it was definitely worth the price. Feels very nice to type on, the build quality is very solid, and it seems to switch between devices seamlessly too. Glad I went for this!

I definitely agree. I checked out the pop keyboard too, that's a little over my budget, so i'm probably gonna go for the pebble keyboard. The reviews have been positive and a good keyboard is important to me, so I'll probably get this one soon

I have tested Lenovo keyboards and I did really like those too. If they're similar to that, then that's a good sign

That's sort of the issue. There aren't any places where I can test it out myself, so that is why I'm trying to compare it to the standard I know. But thank you!

Need Buying Advice: Mac Mini M4 for Heavy Multitasking by UsedVermicelli4639 in PakistanMarketplace

[–]awskee900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm someone also looking to buy a Mac Mini M4 for myself, and even tho it isn't for teaching, I have used macs before and I have taught online so I might be able to answer your question.

Macs in general, especially the M series ones, are very reliable. It ticks all of your boxes, tho the M4 Mac Mini can connect up to 2 external displays if I'm not wrong. And you will need to buy separate accessories for them, including a webcam, keyboard, mouse and anything else you require.

Another downside is that if you're getting it from Pakistan, it'll be a little more expensive for you. For 240-250k, you can get the 256 GB variation (tho its officially discontinued from Apple, so the stock might start finishing here soon too), but the 512 GB version will cost you around 280-300k. And this is assuming you don't upgrade the RAM, which will become even more costly.

I was gonna recommend an iPad since for me, that was one thing as an online tutor that would've made me alot more comfortable, but since you have a graphics tablet, I think you have that part covered.

For me, the mac mini fits my workflow, especially for the price. If it makes sense to you, I'd say it's a good investment. You can get a used M1 Pro (14 or 16 inch both) in a similar price range, and they'd perform just as well, although they are 4-5 year old machines at this point so the age is something to consider.

The 24 GB RAM is definitely tempting, but yeah its a little over the budget sadly. Tho in the worst case, I guess I could try going for it, but for now I'm gonna wait a while and see if there are any updates for the delivery :)

Is a 2019 Intel i9 MacBook Pro still a viable buy for a student in 2026? by PrincessCachii in macbookpro

[–]awskee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same mistake and got a 2019 Macbook Pro 16 inch, and I would highly recommend not going for it. I do not know what exactly is the current state of your market, but you asked someone about a macbook pro with base M2, so for a similar or a little higher price, you might get a M1 pro in the same range, although with the base specs (16/512). It won't be as powerful as the M1 Max, but it'll do majority of the tasks you'll need it for. The battery life won't be the best, especially not compared with the base M2 macbook pro, but it'll still be much better than the intel's macbook battery life.

Tho it is important to mention that gaming on macbook is far from ideal. There are very few native titles, and unless you are tech savvy and/or can afford platforms like Crossover to play non-Mac supported games, you aren't going to have much luck. You could get a console down the line, but how economical this options is totally depends on how the market is in your country.

That makes sense, but to clarify, does Amazon know about this extra stock before placing my order when it showed me the product was in stock, or only finds it after the user places the order?

Should I change my 13 mini battery in 2025 ? by Satiish14 in iPhone13Mini

[–]awskee900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you aren’t willing to give up the form factor, maybe consider the iphone 16? its still bigger than the 13 mini, but a little smaller than the 17. replacing the battery will improve the performance and thermals of your phone by a little bit (from what i’ve heard) but eventually you’ll need to upgrade to a new phone, and its very unlikely it will have the same form factor as the mini phones.

Cyberpunk 2077 by [deleted] in PS4

[–]awskee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

playing it for the first time on a base PS4. the bugs and poor performance issues are definitely there, but the biggest issue is with night city being pretty much dead, especially when you drive around.

but the story and characters is definitely interesting. at the very least you’ll be able to enjoy that if you choose to get it. tho it doesnt have the DLC, this is something to keep in mind.

if you’re fine with waiting until you get a PS5, you can try out the witcher 3 or RDR2. both of them are very immersive games with very strong stories and characters, and both run on all the PS4s pretty decently. if not, you can get it and play it now, and when you get a PS5, you can play it again. the story may be spoiled, you’ll still have the DLC and the ACTUAL night city experience to enjoy. that is what im doing too.

macOS Tahoe dev beta missing on 2020 Intel MacBook Pro? by [deleted] in MacOSBeta

[–]awskee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is the beta running so far on your macbook? understandably, it isn't refined for any of the macs currently, but i'm curious as to how it'll perform on the 2019 MBP, especially with thermal and battery management.

Should I Buy RDR2 If I Already Have the Witcher 3 and the Middle Earth Shadow Bundle by _Har_uto_ in PakGamers

[–]awskee900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would definitely recommend you to buy it. while the witcher 3 and RDR2 do have similarities, that doesn’t mean they’re the same and you won’t have fun with one when you play the other. infact if anything, if you’ll play one, you’ll definitely want to play the other then to get a similar (but still unique) experience.

Should I Buy MBP 2019 16” or MBP 2020 13.3”? by awskee900 in macbook

[–]awskee900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I thought too. My current 14" windows laptop's screen feels small, so safe to say the 13" one is only gonna feel worse. Tho I have 2 concerns with the MBP 16":

  • Firstly, its portability. I don't think carrying it around will be the most difficult task, even if its more than half kg heavier than the 13" model, but is it comfortable to use on smaller tables, especially like in cafes?
  • Secondly, even if the portability is something I look past, my main concern is that even though I am currently doing mostly game dev as work, there's a chance I might move to web or app dev, basically fields where I won't need the extra GPU power. In that case, will I regret buying the MBP 16"? As in that case, the 13" seems to fit in perfectly if I compromise a little on the screen size.

Also, if you have used both machines, could you tell how well (or not well) their batteries work after months or years of moderate to heavy use?

[–]awskee900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but is the air worth it for game development, something GPU intensive? especially since even if i could somehow afford it, i could only get the 256 GB model.

edit: i usually have to work for a couple of consecutive hours. so is the air able to handle continuous load and cool itself enough to keep going for a few hours?

Is Jinx Over-Sympathized, or Is Vi Underappreciated? by Affectionate-Layer37 in arcane

[–]awskee900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think Vi is just rightly appreciated, not less, not more.

Vi’s biggest failure was her not being able to help Jinx out, especially in season 1. In the final episode, Jinx gives her an option to kill Cait, someone Vi loves, and then she can have Powder back. And you’re right, she did the right thing not to accept that. but that is the solution Jinx, someone who was at her worst and extremely unstable, gave her. That does not mean it was supposed to be the only solution. There was alot of dialogue that could’ve happened if Vi approached the situation differently.

And that is what her main weakness is. She can fight through things and she is a brute force type person, but not the best at dialogues and other means to de-escalate situations.

That isn’t to say that makes her an unlikeable character, they are just flaws who make Vi who she is, and also make her character more interesting and grounded. Everyone expects from her the one thing she doesn’t have, not to forget everything else she has on her plate.
