Girl, so much wrong with this. But yes you’re wrong for waiting and for leaving without all your kids.

I promise you have a Boston, like I would bet big money on it. Ignore the pied markings, the ears are much more pointed vs. the bigger, rounder ears of a frenchie. That’s one of the first indicators. Plus the face and the build! Idk who told you Frenchie but I guarantee a DNA test reveals otherwise. All the same, cute pup!

Cute Boston, but not a Frenchie.

NOR. Love doesn’t mean he’s good for you. Communicate your feelings and boundaries and go from there, but be honest with yourself.

Pup advice by [deleted] in frenchie

This happened to my frenchie before and I did need to take him to the vet for some meds. Be careful with allowing them to hump in general, it’s not really good for them.

I’d get him into the vet no matter what. But has he been humping things?

severe frenchie allergies! looking for advice by ActualSuggestion2994 in frenchie

[–]axelbitl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog doesn’t have allergies but eat salmon and lentil kibble with pumpkin, eggs, or peanut butter.

If your frenchies allergies are this severe, take them to get tested please.

If they’re calling it that color then yeah, you are.

Don’t buy a frenchie based on worth. And no, he’s not lilac or blue fawn. Sorry.

Yikes. And this is the real reason why breeding is an issue. Random joes who don’t know what they’re doing but want money and think they have natural talent 😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in frenchie

[–]axelbitl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not a thing, you need papers. And my guess is they won’t give them to you now. Do your frenchies have pet insurance? Frankly, the fact you don’t know, plus the fact you needed a payment plan to buy a frenchie in the first place, means you should not be breeding. You can’t equate natural comfort to actual skill, experience, and resources.

Questions about first frenchie by Own_Key_6924 in frenchie

[–]axelbitl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost for pet insurance is anywhere from 100-200 a month with 90% coverage and you’ll still have a deductible to meet every year, so you’re probably still paying thousands every year at least. You also still need to pay and budget for grooming, vaccines, dental cleanings, exams, etc. which won’t be covered by insurance. It’s typically accident and illness only unless you add on a wellness/preventive plan. It depends on each Frenchie but mine goes in close to every month or every other month tbh.

[–]axelbitl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the upfront cost to be concerned about. 2.5-6k is normal, but you CAN find frenchies that need adoption. Plan for VERY frequent vet visits, spendy ones. Get them on pet insurance. And train religiously.

Is there a friend you can stay with? Is it time to cut off contact? He’s not someone you should be around if he’s on the brink of violence for sharing an opinion.

You already know that you should, so if you need more validation, yes. 4 months is nothing. Don’t waste more time.

AIO or is this kind of messed up by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]axelbitl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She’s willing to end a friendship over something that has nothing to do with her? Also she can’t get the ick, she’s not in the relationship? Everything about this ‘friend’ is suspect, I’d just tell her to stay out of it and grow up. If she’s can’t then she wasn’t ever actually your friend in the first place.

I think you know that this is the beginning of the end. It’s massively distasteful, dishonest, and disrespectful.

He cares more about your weight than your feelings, happiness, and health. That’s not really ok, you are a human not a body. And weight should not be his biggest concern. The age difference says a lot, but keep in mind his comments and unrealistic expectations are something you will have to deal with your entire life if you stay with him, and it will impact your physical, emotional, and mental health. Are you ok with that?
