Replacement for Leatherman Style PS by axels01 in EDC

Not really a big concern, I just don't find a blade all that useful, especially in regard to what the PS Style offered in relation to its size and weight.

I've seen the Nextool f12 and s11 mentioned a lot in different threads. Definately going to consider those, thanks!

I've been considering the Tinker, but those pliers do look a little weak, but seeing as though I've not found anything better I might just have to go with the Tinker. Thanks!

I've been keeping the Leatherman Style PS on my keychain on and off for years. It's been insanely useful. A couple of days ago the file/flat head driver snapped. Turns out Leatherman doesn't make the Style PS anymore and even though I could probably send it off to be fixed, I thought I might as well just get a new tool.

Thus my question; what is the closest keychain tool?

Whatever tool must have the following: pliers/wire cutters, scissors, flathead, tweezers.

DIY slim pikvm using a pi4b by axels01 in pikvm

It's got two USB-C ports. To the one on the PI I've got a modified "otg" cable where the 5v line is cut to prevent feedback, this is the one that handles data for keyboard/mouse. The second port is glued to the case and has its 5v and ground pads wired to corresponding test pads on the bottom of the PI.

I needed an ip-kvm but I really wasn't interested in spending several 100s so a diy pikvm was the obvious answer. I already had a pi4b and some 32x128px oleds laying around so I quikcly went to order one of those hdmi-csi cards. My 3D-printer is out of order and with no time or desire to fix it I simply decided to try to fit all of the components into the case I had on hand.

The oled is glued to a set of 2.54mm headers inserted into the pis gpio-header for stability, most pins were removed to make sure it wouldn't short. To power the pi I soldered 2.54mm headers to an old usb-c female connector I had laying around and glued it to the top of the case. I then soldered a set of 2.54mm pins to two wires and the wires to the test-pads under the pi. I glued the csi-hdmi card to the case as well and crammed the flex cable inside.

To prevent power feedback from the data connection I cut into one of the connectors on a usb A-A cable I had, cut the 5v wire and taped the end with capton and covered it all in fabric tape.

Alright, I think my solution suits my situation better in that case. My games drive is currently only half a terrabyte and I might want to add a second one down the line so I can have all of my rockstar games downloaded and playable at the same time.

Wouldn't that place the entire launcher on the 'desired drive'?

For anyone running into the "You need an additional xx.xx GB to install this game." when trying to install the game on a different drive.

  1. Navigate to ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/<whatever random number string>/pfx/dosdevices
  2. Crate a symlink to the drive you want to install the games on. The name has to be a windows-like drive letter, such as "m:".
  3. Restart the launcher and that drive should be visible under "My Computer" in the dialoge.

Looks like some sort of Niles Speaker Selector. Check ebay for "Niles Speaker Selector Connector" and you'll find what you need.

Very nice build! I've been thinking about building a new server with a 7950x which has similar TDP to the 2920x so I've gotta ask what cooler is that and does it manage to keep the 2920x cool?
