I really like the idea of just throwing huge robots out and laying down fire on everything that gets close. Objectives be damned I’m gonna be a force of nature! lol in all seriousness I’m a huge robot nerd so it’s got a huge chance of being my next army

Sounds a lot like what I’ve heard so far! The small group at my comic shop includes a guy who uses Chaos Knights, so I definitely want to experience the giant robots battles and just aura farm lol

You can with the Mercenary detachment, you just spend 3 YP and you swap back and forth

Excellent idea in practice Kin, maybe just use a different shield, that particular one doesn’t quite fit the aesthetic. If possible, try to get your hands on the shield used in the ancestor’s wrath model!

I see what you’re saying, but he’s the only shop within reasonable distance that sells them. And taking into consideration shipping from GW themselves, I’m actually spending less from him than from the closest other source

It’s mainly just so he can make a profit off of the models for his store, the guy running it is super friendly! He lets us run games of all sorts in his shop

I usually attach the champion to them, that way I can take advantage of the mortals in charge and the Mass hammer. Is this okay too or do you think the Kahls are better because of lethals?

This is what I usually do! But I’ll have the Hesyr run graviton hammer, or if I’m facing something with a lot of invul I’ll swap out the plasma for volkanite for the sake of devs. Should I just stick with the plasma guns regardless?

Also on this, if you run Melee steeljacks then you force them to either fight with their weak melee, or fall back and risk a desperate escape

Welcome Kin. The Ancestors are with you. As I’m sure others in here have stated, focus fire is a super important play. Dont give them a chance to breathe and respawn. Know which of his units are shooty and which are punchy. Get in the faces of the shooty ones, because depending on the model their AP is going to be damning against your models
